    • The molding method for molded surface fastener for molding a flat substrate and a plurality of first engaging elements integrally and continously using the same molding material. According to the method, a cooling/transportation means for cooling and transporting a molded surface fastener at the same time when it is molded is driven and rotated in one direction and molten resin material is extruded continuously onto a cooling/transportation face through a resin extrusion path which extends in a width direction of an extrusion nozzle and which is open to said cooling/transportation face of said cooling/transportation means and opens in a transportation direction thereof. At this time, a plurality of the first engaging-element-molding openings spaced in the width direction of said resin extrusion path are opened and closed by means of at least a vertically vibrating member disposed on a front face of said extrusion nozzle in a resin transportation direction thereof.

    • A molded surface fastener has no stagger between the once engaged engaging elements and has high engagement force so as to strongly prevent the release of the engaging elements, whereby, it is possible to smoothly press and joint the molded surface fasteners made of a synthetic resin each other. A molded surface fastener made of a synthetic resin has an engaging element and a fitting projection on a surface of a plate-like substrate. The engaging element has a rising portion, which rises from a surface of the plate-like substrate and has an opposite pair of inclined faces, and an engaging head which is continuously formed on a top end of the rising portion and which is expanded at sides of opposite vertical faces in a horizontal direction except for the inclined faces. The fitting projection is positioned between the facing inclined faces of an adjacent pair of engaging elements of a mating surface fastener upon engagement of the engaging elements each other and has inclined faces, which are fit with and abut against both inclined faces, so that it is possible to prevent the stagger upon engagement.

    • A joint structure for joining two panel-like components includes a fitting pin member having a flange portion and pin portions equivalent to a dowel. One strip of a surface-type fastener having a number of identical fastener elements is provided on opposite surfaces of the flange portion. A mating surface of each of the panel-like components has a recessed portion for being fitted with the flange portion, and a pin hole formed in a bottom surface of the recessed portion. The other strip of the surface-type fastener which is engageable with the surface-type fastener strip is disposed on the bottom surface of the recessed portion. The two surface-type fastener strips are firmly engaged together when the flange portion and the pin portions are fitted in the recessed portions and the pin holes, respectively, so that the two panel-like components are firmly joined together. Since the surface-type fastener strips do not project from the mating surfaces of the panel-like components, the fastener elements are protected against damage during transportation and assembling work and can provide the desired fastening strength.
