摘要： When a piston unit and a valve unit employed in a recording head of an ink-jet recording apparatus were manufactured by a conventional method, comprising parts for these unit were separately formed and assembled, which required considerable man-hours for the assembly and measures to prevent contamination by foreign particles during the assembly. The present invention is carried out to solve these problems and provides units at less expensive cost. In order to attain above-mentioned objectives the units are formed out of mutually insoluble materials with other parts by an insert molding or a multi-color molding. By employing forming materials with different molding shrinkage rate, desired gas-tightness of the units are attained by keeping moving performances of the units almost intact. In addition a rubber or an elastomer is employed as a material for a part which requires a gas-tightness and flexibility.

摘要： In a recording apparatus, an ink sheet and recording medium are conveyed, the ink sheet is activated to perform image recording on the recording medium, the conveying state of the ink sheet is detected, and the conveying amount of the ink sheet is adjusted in accordance with the detected information regarding the conveying state of the ink sheet. This adjustment prevents the adhesion of the recording medium and ink sheet, thereby eliminating image omissions and density irregularities in the recording. Preventing adhesion of the recording medium and ink sheet results in improved image recording quality, and also helps to reduce trouble resulting from the ink sheet or recording medium being cut off.

摘要： A record head is energized in accordance with received image data to transfer an ink of an ink sheet to a record medium and perform image recording on the record medium while the ink sheet and the record medium are fed in opposite directions. The rotation period of a roller driven during feeding of the record medium or the feed direction of the record medium is detected to detect adhesion between the ink sheet and the record medium. When adhesion between the ink sheet and the record medium is detected, a recording operation is interrupted to feed the ink sheet and the record medium to release adhesion between the ink sheet and the record medium. When the adhesion is released within a predetermined time period, the recording operation is continued. When the adhesion is not released within the predetermined time period, an alarm sound is issued.

摘要： Disclosed is a method of controlling a sheet material discharging apparatus with a sheet binding device, wherein the absence or shortage of binding materials is detected and the sheet discharging operation continues even after the absence or shortage of binding materials is detected. When a given discharge sheet materials is one which, together with other sheet materials, constitutes a set of sheet materials, and when the set contains at least two and no more than N sheet materials, the binding device is operated after the last of the sheet materials of the set is discharged, but when the set contains more than N sheet materials, the binding device is operated to bind the sheets of the set N at a time until no more than N sheets remain unbound.
