摘要： In an inner cam type injection pump, the side surface of the protruding portion of each of the plungers facing the compression space is formed in a projecting shape in the area where the plunger changes from the base end side into the front end. Specific forms of the projection include a structure constituted with slanted surfaces over a plurality of stages with different inclinations relative to the axis of the plunger, an arc form and a structure provided with a overhanging portion formed on the side surface of the protruding portion, which does not overhang the base end, projecting out from the side surface. This will prevent collision at the shoulder portion of the plunger and, consequently, prevent the deformation at the shoulder portion and ensures that plungers will not have sliding failures or become seized. Even when plungers collide, the sliding of the plungers will not be affected, ensuring that plungers do not have sliding failures or become seized.

A first sleeve 25 for regulating the timing with which a cutoff port 22 opens and a second sleeve 26 for regulating the timing with which an intake port 21 opens are externally fitted on the rotating member 10 in such a manner that they can slide freely. The first sleeve 25 and the second sleeve 26 interlock with each other in a specific relationship and a timer mechanism 40, which is directly linked to the second sleeve 26, controls the quantity of rotation of the second sleeve 26. With this, stable injection timing control can be achieved.

摘要： A fuel injection pump includes a reciprocating plunger and a control sleeve slidably fitted over the plunger, the prestroke of which is varied by vertical movement of the control sleeve. The control sleeve is provided at its upper end with a fuel discharge groove, through which the fuel contained in a fuel-pressurizing chamber is discharged after the end of injection. The control sleeve also has to pressure escape passage. A variation in the effective stroke allows the pressure of fuel contained in the fuel-pressurizing chamber to be selectively regulated by the pressure escape passage, thereby controlling the pressure of fuel to be injected.

摘要： A method for varying the flow rate of fuel in a distributor-type electronic control fuel-injection pump. A single solenoid valve is used to control the timing of initiating and terminating fuel delivery. A cam is operated under four different modes, a low idle or a low speed/low load zone, a middle load zone, a high load zone, and a governing or high idle zone in that order as the cam is rotated. At the governing or high idle zone, the solenoid valve is closed before the cam is lifted and is opened to control fuel delivery when it is terminated.

The coupling shaft is rotatably mounted in an aperture defined in the control rod and has an engagement portion held in engagement with the control sleeve. The engagement portion is disposed in eccentric relation to a body of the coupling shaft for translating rotating motion of the control rod into axial movement of the control sleeve, thereby adjusting the pre-stroke of a plunger. The pre-stroke adjusting mechanism thus constructed is compact and simple in construction and hence can easily be assembled.

摘要： There is disclosed an improved cam for a fuel injection pump. The cam has a mountain-like cam projection at its surface disposed in contact with a roller. The cam projection has a lift region extending from a leading end thereof to a peak thereof. At the lift region, the cam is lifted in response to the rotation of the cam, so that a plunger is moved to pressurize fuel in a pump chamber. The lift region has first, second and third angle portions arranged in this order from the leading end of the cam projection toward the peak of the cam projection. The first angle portion serves to increase a lift speed of the cam, and terminates in a position where the lift speed becomes the maximum. The second angle portion serves to lower the lift speed. The deceleration is greater at an initial section of the second angle portion than at a final portion of the second angle portion. The lift speed decreases with a greater deceleration at the third angle portion than at the final section of the second angle portion, and becomes zero at the peak of the cam projection.
