    • The invention provides a flame retardant composition comprising 1-99 weight parts of a salt of piperazine and an inorganic compound selected from among piperazine phosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate and piperazine polyphosphate, or a mixture of two or more of these piperazine salts (ingredient (A)), 99-1 weight parts of a salt of melamine and an inorganic compound selected from among melamine phosphate, melamine pyrophosphate and melamine polyphosphate, or a mixture of two or more of these melamine salts (ingredient (B)) (wherein, the sum of ingredient (A) and ingredient (B) is 100 weight parts), 0-50 weight parts of an arbitrary ingredient (ingredient (C)), and 0.01-20 weight parts of a silicone oil having a viscosity at 25° C. of 5000 mm2/s (ingredient (D)) which is added thereto. This flame retardant not only has superior flame retarding properties, but also has enhanced powder properties and anti-hygroscopic properties, and when it is added to a resin, there is little change of electrical resistance.

    • This manufacturing method of a powder injection molded part includes the steps of using a binder composition containing at least 2 kinds of thermoplastic binder components having an evaporation temperature higher than the injection molding temperature and a different evaporation initiating temperature from each other, elevating the temperature of a molded body above the evaporation initiating temperature of the binder component having the lowest evaporation initiating temperature rapidly, removing the binder component having the lowest evaporation initiating temperature from the molded body by holding this temperature, and thereafter, removing all binder components by elevating up to a temperature not lower than the evaporation initiating temperature of the binder component having the highest evaporation initiating temperature. By this method, the form unstability of final parts, which is a problem of the prior art, is resolved, dimensional accuracy is satisfied, and it is possible to shorten debinding times.

    • A small-sized electronic instrument such as an electronic wrist watch and others in which a plurality of parts are stacked and firmly held together by tightening a screw. The electronic instrument includes a base plate and a screw housing portion, which are integrally molded of a hard plastic material. The screw housing portion has a shoulder including a step formed therein at the middle portion between the opposite ends. On assembly, the step engages one of the stacked parts. Even if the screw housing portion is pulled upwardly by the tightened self-tapping screw, the part sandwiched between the self-tapping screw and the step limits the upward movement of the screw housing portion on tapping. Thus, the screw housing portion can be prevented from being broken off from the base plate when the self-tapping screw is further tightened against the base plate.
