摘要： To provide a magnetic recording medium manufacturing method capable of transferring a pattern that can serve as a source for forming anodized alumina-nanoholes with high precision and realizing high productivity, and a large-capacity magnetic recording medium capable of achieving high density recording. The method includes forming a metallic layer on a concavo-convex pattern formed on a surface of a mold; bonding a substrate using an adhesive to a surface of the metallic layer on the side opposite to the mold; separating the mold from the metallic layer; forming, through nanohole formation treatment, a porous layer in which a plurality of nanoholes are formed to orient in a direction substantially perpendicular to a substrate plane by using as a nanohole source a concavo-convex pattern which has been formed by transferring the concavo-convex pattern in the mold to the metallic layer; and charging a magnetic material inside the nanoholes.

The rows of nanoholes are preferably arranged concentrically or helically. The nanoholes in adjacent rows of nanoholes are preferably arranged in a radial direction. The width of each row of nanoholes preferably varies at specific intervals in its longitudinal direction. A magnetic recording medium includes a substrate, and a porous layer on or above the substrate. The porous layer contains nanoholes each extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to a substrate plane, containing at least one magnetic material therein, and is the above-mentioned nanohole structure.

摘要： The objects of the present invention is to provide laminate structures that are adapted widely in a wide range of fields such as magnetic recording media, nonvolatile memories, giant magneto resistance elements, spin valve films, tunnel effect films, various sensors, displays, and optical elements; high-quality magnetic recording media that can perform high-density recording and high-velocity recording with higher capacity without increasing write current at magnetic heads, in particular exhibit excellent overwrite properties, uniform properties, in particular superior saturation magnetization (tBr) and the anisotropy field (Hd), and the like. The laminate structure of the present invention contains a number of metal nanopillars and plural insulating layers, wherein the lengths of the metal nanopillars are approximately equivalent, each of the plural insulating layers is penetrated by the metal nanopillars, and the plural insulating layers are laminated to each other. The magnetic recording medium of the present invention contains the laminate structure on the substrate, and the metal nanopillars formed of a magnetic material extend to a direction approximately perpendicular to the surface of the substrate.

摘要： A method of producing a gas-barrier laminated member having a gas-barrier layer formed by crosslinking the carboxyl groups of a polycarboxylic acid polymer with multivalent metal ions. The method comprises forming a layer (A) containing an alkaline compound of a multivalent metal on at least one surface of a plastic base material, applying a solution (b) obtained by dissolving a polycarboxylic acid polymer in a solvent containing at least water onto the layer (A) that contains the alkaline compound of the multivalent metal, and removing the solvent by a heat treatment so that a metal-ionically crosslinked structure is formed with the multivalent metal ions among the carboxyl groups in the solution (b). The gas-barrier laminated member has excellent adhesion to the base material, gas-barrier property, retort resistance and flexibility, and is efficiently produced by only being heated at a low temperature for a short period of time through a decreased number of simplified steps.
