摘要： A cleaning device for use in an image forming apparatus which includes an image carrier, an image forming device to form a toner image on the image carrier, and a transferor to transfer the toner image from the image carrier onto a recording sheet, in which the cleaning device cleans a residual toner on the image carrier after transferring. The cleaning device includes a cleaning blade to scrape off the residual toner on a circumferential surface of the image carrier, a contacting member to bring a tip end of the cleaning blade into contact with the circumferential surface of the image carrier in a direction upstream of a moving direction of the image carrier when a cleaning operation of the blade is conducted, and a releasing member to release the tip end of the cleaning blade from the circumferential surface. The blade is made of an elastic member having a coefficient of dynamic friction between the blade and the image carrier of 0.15 to 0.4.

摘要： A container from which its contents can be readily taken out by a simple one-hand finger operation, is provided. The container comprises a lid and a container main body and is sealed at least at its peripheral flange. The container main body can be bent outwardly, and it comprises two contents-holding portions which are divided by the portion for bending and which are designed such that when the container main body is bent these two portions may be pressed by each other. The lid comprises at least a monoaxially oriented film. The lengthwise direction of the portion for bending coincides with the direction of orientation of the monoaxially oriented film. A non-sealed portion is provided at an edge portion of the peripheral flange coincident with at least one end of the portion for bending, and at least two slit lines for initiating tear are provided in a part of the lid which constitutes the non-sealed portion.

摘要： A method of continuous molding a rod-like product includes forming an uncured rod-like molding by passing reinforcing fibers impregnated with uncured thermosetting resin through a squeezing die having a predetermined shape. Molten thermoplastic fluororesin is extruded in a ring shape to enclose the rod-like molding. A sheathing layer of the thermoplastic resin is formed by causing the thermoplastic resin to come into contact with the outer periphery of the uncured rod-like molding and by cooling and solidifying the thermoplastic resin. The uncured rod-like molding and the sheathing layer are introduced into a heated tank thereby hardening the thermosetting resin. The sheathing layer is stripped from the molding to form a rod-like product having a surface of fiber reinforced thermosetting resin.

In the developing unit, layer thickness H.sub.D (mm) of the two-component developer and gap D.sub.SD (mm), between the surface of the photoreceptor and the rotatable surface member, both at the location where the rotatable surface member is closest to the surface of the photoreceptor, satisfies the equation of 0.02.ltoreq.D.sub.SD -H.sub.D .ltoreq.0.3; and the toner of the two-component developer is conveyed to the surface of the photoreceptor between 5 and 40 mg/cm.sup.2 at the location, where the rotatable surface member is closest to the surface of the photoreceptor.

摘要： In the manufacture of a fiber reinforced plastic armored cable, long reinforcing fibers are impregnated with an uncured thermosetting resin and formed into a predetermined shape to obtain a plurality of rod-like members with the thermosetting resin held uncured. Then the uncured rod-like members are passed through a die of a melt extruder, by which the rod-like members are each coated with a thermoplastic resin layer. The coated layers of the rod-like members are immediately cooled to simultaneously form a plurality of fiber reinforced plastic armoring strands with the thermosetting resin held uncured. The armoring strands thus obtained are wound around a cable which is fed while being rotated. The cable having wound thereon the strands is passed through a die portion of a melt extruder, by which the cable is sheathed with a thermoplastic resin layer which is immediately cooled and solidified. The sheathed cable is guided into a curing tank using a liquid as a heating medium to cure the thermosetting resin in the armoring strands. Thereafter, the sheathed cable is wound onto a drum via a rotary take-up device.
