    • A carrier tape capable of being formed by means of a die apparatus readily manufactured and exhibiting increased durability. The carrier tape is formed thereon with a plurality of receiving recesses for respectively receiving semiconductor packages therein in a manner to be spaced from each other at predetermined intervals in a longitudinal direction thereof. The receiving recesses are each provided at four corners thereof with shelf sections in a manner to be expanded outwardly from an opening of the receiving recess in a plane direction, so that the shelf sections may have an increased area. The shelf sections act to support a periphery of a bottom surface of the semiconductor package thereon. The receiving recess is also provided with positioning sections for positioning the semiconductor package in the plane direction while keeping sides of the semiconductor package in contact therewith. The positioning sections are respectively arranged between an adjacent two of the shelf sections.

    • An embossed carrier tape capable of accurately accomplishing an automatic inspection of leads or the like of an electronic component by means of a camera. The carrier tape is formed with a plurality of receiving recesses in which electronic components are to be received, respectively. The receiving recesses are each formed at a lower portion of each of side surfaces thereof opposite to leads of the electronic component with an inclined surface. Such construction results in the leads being abutted against the inclined surface, to thereby be subjected to positional regulation if the electronic component is undesirably moved during inspection thereof. This permits a reflected image of the leads from the side surface of the receiving recess to be substantially separated from a directly-viewed image thereof during an inspection of the electronic component by image processing using a camera, to thereby ensure accurate judgment of any defect of the electronic component, such as bending of the leads or the like.

    • A paper currency handling apparatus capable of determining destination of each paper currency based on currency identification result before conveyance into a temporal storage if the order of paper currencies entered by user varies within the temporal storage. The apparatus has a conveyance path conveying paper currencies, an identification portion identifying each paper currency conveyed, a storage portion storing identification information indicating identification result of each paper currency identified by the identification portion, and a control portion controlling various portions. The identification portion reads unique information about each paper currency conveyed along the conveyance path. The storage portion stores the unique information about the currency read by the identification portion and the identification information about the currency identified by the identification portion by associating these information with each other.

    • A method successively test information processing devices, that include a main storage, a CPU, an external storage, etc., in a plurality of test steps in accordance with test programs along a test line composed of baths with different temperatures/humidities. A table and a pointer corresponding to the table are stored in an external storage and a non-volatile memory, respectively. A test program, test items and a test procedure are previously described for each test step in the table. The test object is shifted to a certain bath on the test line, and a prescribed test for the test object is performed at the timing of turning-on of the driving power therefor in accordance with the test procedure described in the procedure table corresponding to the pointer. The value of the pointer is updated each time the power is turned on. The test program is always updated referring to the pointer even when the test steps are successively advanced to repeat the on/off action of the power, thereby automatically performing a series of test steps.

    • A building structure including a beam of steel or rod reinforced concrete which is sheathed in a U-shaped cross section steel shell, a concrete column which is encased in a steel tube, diagonal bracings and connecting members thereof. The topside of the U-shaped steel shell is open to allow concrete to be filled therethrough. Steel rods are placed in the shell and a steel panel connecting member secures the opposed sidewalls of the shell. Steel bars extend from a floor slab into the beam shell through the aforesaid open topside, thereby rendering the beam integral with the slab. Frame-like steel members for confining reinforcing bars and/or shear connectors are disposed in the inside of the beam shell. A steel sleeve is also provided in the beam shell for defining a space for disposition of equipment. In addition, an opening is provided in the bottom wall of the beam shell so as to allow steel rods to extend from the wall into the beam shell, thereby rendering the beam integral with the wall. A column is coupled to the beam by means of ring stiffeners or gusset plates. Diagonal bracings are positioned in symmetric relation to the frame member of the beam or column, and the diagonal bracings are fastened to the frame member of the beam or column by means of long bolts extending through the frame member thereof. The tip portions of diagonal bracings are provided with anchor members which are embedded in the concrete contained in the beam shell.
