摘要： An authentication system includes node devices, wherein a first node device transmits the authentication information thereof to a second node device, the second node device selects third node devices that are requested to verify the validity of the received authentication information, and transmits the authentication information to each of the selected third node devices, the third node device records verification information that is used to verify the validity of the authentication information of the first node device, verifies the validity of the authentication information on the basis of the authentication information and verification information, and transmits the result information to the second node device, and the second node device further derives weighted values indicating the reliability of the each verification of the third node devices and authenticates the first node device on the basis of the each result information and the each weighted value received from the third node devices.

摘要： There is provided an information processing apparatus in which a great number of users can use thin clients, and in which various services such as simultaneous picture distribution are realized in an integrated manner, an information processing system, and a controlling method of the information processing apparatus. The apparatus capable of executing plural OSs includes image transmitting devices having: a GPU for receiving a drawing instruction signal of a screen output from the OS and generating an image signal of a display screen; and a communicator for transmitting the image signal of the display screen to a terminal that operates as a thin client. The devices compressively code the image signal to a digital motion picture by a coding unit as necessary. Then, the devices transmit the coded signal from the communicator. The apparatus dynamically assigns the devices to the OSs corresponding to the respective terminals via VMM.

摘要： A device comprises a look-up table translating unit, a region dividing unit and a reduced image generating unit to reduce the size of a color image using look-up tables and a reference look-up table. Each of the look-up and reference look-up tables has as many entries as there are the pixel values. The look-up table translating unit creates an entry check table. The entry check table is for translating the table entries of the look-up table into the those of the reference look-up table. The region dividing unit divides the original color image into a plurality of regions. The reduced image generating unit accesses the entry check table and the reference look-up table to selectively determine a representative pixel of the region based on the RGB values thereof to generate the reduced color images.
