    • Provided are a semi-transmitting and semi-reflecting electrode substrate provided with a transparent conductive layer which is almost free from the generation of residues caused by etching and is resistant to an etchant for a metal reflecting layer (metal layer), a method of producing the semi-transmitting and semi-reflecting electrode substrate and a liquid crystal display device using the semi-transmitting and semi-reflecting electrode substrate. Specifically, the invention relates a semi-transmitting and semi-reflecting electrode substrate comprising a transparent substrate, a transparent conductive layer which is disposed on the transparent substrate and contains indium oxide as its major component and further one or two or more oxides selected from tungsten oxide, molybdenum oxide and niobium oxide and a metal reflecting layer which is disposed on the transparent substrate, reflects extraneous light and is connected with the transparent conductive layer, to a method producing the semi-transmitting and semi-reflecting electrode substrate and to a liquid crystal display device using the semi-transmitting and semi-reflecting electrode substrate. This semi-transmitting and semi-reflecting electrode substrate is almost free from the generation of residues, has high processability and improves the yield.

    • In an imaging device employing an electrophotographic process, the arrangement having a guide member located in a recording paper feed path extending from a transfer unit to a fixing unit to cause the recording paper to be conveyed along the guide member in a predetermined direction under the control of an electrostatic power. Alternately, the imaging device has guide members for restricting the up and down displacement of the side edge of one lateral side of a recording paper feed path extending from the transfer unit to the fixing unit. The guide members are spaced from each other to allow the recording paper to pass through the space to restrict the up and down displacement of the lateral edge of the recording paper. Thus, the recording paper is held and guided in its feed direction to be brought into the fixing unit.

    • A switching power supply device includes: a chopper circuit that adjusts a DC voltage input through a reactor to a desired DC voltage by performing an on/off operation of a switching element; an inverter circuit that converts an output of the chopper circuit into a desired AC voltage; a first capacitor that is provided on a side of the inverter circuit relative to the switching element; a second capacitor that is provided on a side of the inverter circuit relative to the switching element; and a resistor that is in a resonant loop formed by three constituent elements that are the first capacitor, the second capacitor, and a wiring inductance between the chopper circuit and the inverter circuit, where the resistor is connected in series to the second capacitor and inserted between the DC bus-bars.
