    • In a thermally-actuated steam trap, a valve casing is formed therein with an inlet, a valve chest and an outlet, and a valve seat member is disposed between the valve chest and the outlet. Within the valve chest, there is further provided a temperature control element including two disk-like wall members and a diaphragm member provided between the wall members. The diaphragm member is secured at the peripheral edge to both the wall members, and the inner space formed thereby accommodates an expansible medium. The diaphragm member carries a valve member cooperating with the valve seat member at the side opposite the expansible medium side, and in the central region of the valve member directed toward the diaphragm member is provided a recess portion which becomes deeper as it proceeds toward the center. At least one sheet of the diaphragm member is held between the valve member and a holding member formed substantially corresponding to the space within the recess, and the valve member, diaphragm sheet and holding member are welded with each other in the region where the diaphragm sheet is held between the recess of the valve member and the holding member.

    • A thermally-actuated steam trap, which performs the opening and closing operations of a valve according to a change in the volume of an expansible medium, comprises at least two diaphragms and a valve member fitted to the lower diaphragm. The lower diaphragm is shaped so that it comes to be more sensitive to a change in pressure than the upper diaphragm, to provide a steam trap which permits a discharge passage to be opened also when the fluid pressure at the inlet side is relatively week, and which is stable in operation from the initial stage as the opening and closing operations of the valve are performed intermittently.

    • A liquid pressure-feed device is provided wherein a working fluid discharge port can be connected to a liquid generation source side through an external pipe or can be connected to a liquid inlet port of a closed vessel without going through an external pipe. A closed vessel outer opening for opening a working fluid discharge port outwards of a closed vessel is provided and a communication passage for connecting the working fluid discharge port to a liquid inlet port is formed in the closed vessel. When connecting the working fluid discharge port to the liquid generation source side through an external pipe connected to the closed vessel outer opening, a ring member is used to provide closure between the working fluid discharge port and the liquid inlet port and provide communication between the working fluid discharge port and the closed vessel outer opening. Instead, when connecting the working fluid discharge port to the liquid inlet port, a plug member is used to close the closed vessel outer opening.

    • A thermally-actuated steam trap comprises a valve casing having an inlet, a valve chest and an outlet. A valve seat member with a discharge passage is disposed between the valve chest and the outlet. A temperature control element with an expansible medium sealed therein is disposed within the valve chest, and consists of two disk-shaped wall members, at least one wave-like diaphragm member provided between the wall members, and a valve member secured to the diaphragm member. Displacement of the diaphragm accompanying the expansion and contraction of the expansible medium causes the valve member to come into and out of a seating engagement with the valve seat member to close and open the discharge passage. In order to avoid a state of producing a permanent deformation of the diaphragm of low elastic material and not to be affected by repeated use of the diaphragm, the upper surface of the lower disk-shaped wall member has a curved region corresponding to the wave form of the diaphragm member.

    • A combination pump and trap is disclosed which includes a snap-over mechanism useful for small floats with little buoyancy. The snap-over mechanism has a geometry in which the distance between the float or compression arm pivot point and the pivot for the portion of the spring connected to a first arm or toggle link is greater than the distance from the float or compression arm pivot point and the pivot for the portion of the spring connected to the float or compression arm. This geometry allows the magnification of buoyancy by the main arm which is transmitted to the first toggle link to be large and the magnification of buoyancy by the first toggle link which is transmitted to the change-over valve to be large. A trap which is connected to the float arm is also used, which allows a liquid seal to be maintained at the liquid discharge port. A double seal valve with a mechanism for allowing rapid opening of the valve upon movement of the float is also disclosed, as is a externally-cleanable working fluid feed valve.
