    • The present invention relates to prepolymers produced by reacting resins with phosphororganic compounds obtained from phosphinic acid derivatives, and their use for producing flame resistant polymers, in particular duromers, and the polymers produced therewith. In particular, the present invention relates to a prepolymer for flame resistant polymers, particularly duromers, which is obtained by reacting at least one phosphinic acid derivative of formula I (R1O)(R2)P(O)—R3, wherein R1 and R2 independently of one another represent an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, alkylaryl or alkylarylalkyl group with 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R3 represents hydrogen or an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, alkylaryl or alkylarylalkyl group with 1 to 20 carbon atoms, with at least one resin preferably selected from the group consisting of an epoxy resin, cyanate resin, an unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, phenol resin and a bismaleimide.

    • The present invention relates to polysiloxane nanoparticles having the following properties: an average particle size d50 (measured using REM recordings) in the range of 10-200 nm, a specific surface area Ao of at least 50 m2/g, a pore volume of at least 0.2 cm3/g, an average pore volume d50 of at least 0.8 nm, wherein the particles have groups that contain carbon, which groups are bonded to the silicon at least partially in the form of unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, arylalkyl, or alkylaryl groups. Said polysiloxane nanoparticles can be produced, among other things, in that either a silazane or a mixture of different silazanes having one or more —[Si(R)(R1)—NR2]— units and/or a silane or a mixture of different silanes having the formula R′x—SiX4-a or an oligosiloxane obtainable by means of hydrolytic condensation of said silane/said silanes or a mixture of such oligosiloxanes are provided in a solvent and brought in contact with a strongly alkaline medium in such a way that the pH is not below 13 after the addition thereof. In specific embodiments, synthesis in acid is also successful.

    • The invention relates to an unsaturated polyester resin containing a polyester or a polyester mixture, produced from at least one unsaturated dicarboxylic acid and at least one diol; and at least one silazane which is accessible for copolymerization with a C═C double bond of the dicarboxylic acid. The invention also relates to an unsaturated polyester resin moulding material which can be obtained or is obtained by cross-linking an unsaturated polyester resin as defined above. Said moulding material can optionally contain reinforcing materials. Said unsaturated polyester resin can be produced using the following steps: (a) a polyester from at least one diol and at least one unsaturated dicarboxylic acid is provided; (b) at least one silazane which is accessible for copolymerization which a C═C double bond of the dicarboxylic acid is provided; (c) the components are mixed according to (a) and (b). The unsaturated polyester resin moulding material can be produced from the above-mentioned polyester resin by hardening thereof by means of a radical initiator.
