    • A method for supporting a connection between a communication device and a destination device in a target network over intermediate network nodes, in particular in the context of Internet Protocol based communication, wherein data between the communication device and the destination device is transmitted via a tunnel established between the communication device or a base station connected to the communication device, as a first tunnel endpoint and a gateway in the target network as a second tunnel endpoint. A computer-implemented method includes: identifying a user interface library that includes abstractions of user interface elements, each abstraction being platform-independent and associated with platform-specific code including user interface code unique to different platforms; receiving application code at design time that includes an abstraction of a user interface element; and storing the application code for use on a client device. At subsequent execution time, the application code is configured to: determine platform-specific information of the client device; execute platform-specific lines of code appropriate for the client device; and present the user interface element in a user interface of the client device in a way that is appropriate for the client device.

During the traversal and depending on a current position of the user input in relation to the controls, a position marker is displayed and continuously updated that identifies at least one element associated with a control at the current position. User input is received during the traversal indicating a selection of a particular control based on a termination of user input. The selection is based on a position relative to the series of controls. At least one particular element associated with the selected particular control is identified.
