    • This invention relates to a process for preparing sulfonated lubricating agents for leather and tanned furs consisting of the steps of:(a) chlorinating natural or synthetic higher fatty acids or esters of higher fatty acids having chain lengths of from 8 to 24 carbon atoms containing olefinically unsaturated fractions, up to saturation of the double bonds;(b) sulfochlorinating the chlorinated product from step (a) with chlorine and SO.sub.2 at a temperature of from about 20.degree. to 90.degree. C., optionally under UV-radiation, for a time sufficient to obtain a compound having a chlorine content of from about 5 to 30 percent by weight and a content of SO.sub.2 Cl groups of from about 1 to 20 percent by weight, the ratio of chlorine atoms to SO.sub.2 Cl groups being from about 0.7:1 to 70:1; and(c) saponifying the product from step (b) to form a water-emulsifiable alkali metal, ammonium, or lower alkyl-ammonium salt of the product of step (b).

    • The aim of the invention is to provide a steering column lock with improved break-up safety. To this end, a spring-loaded locking pin (30) is integrated into the peripheral cam (12), said locking pin being co-rotated when a rotor (10) pertaining to the steering column lock is rotated. In the test position (30.1) of the locking pin (30), the pin is aligned with a locking recess (38) in the housing (1) while in a working position of the motor (10) that is obtained by access authorization means, it is not. Normally, the locking pin (30) is inactive since it is maintained in a retracted position by a spring-loaded (47) feeler (40). When the rotor (10) is missing, the feeler (40), due to its spring load (27), releases the locking pin (30). If in this case the rotor (10) is in the rest position, the locking pin (30) engages in the locking recess (38) of the housing (11) and blocks rotation. In a working position of the rotor (10), rotation is not blocked, thereby allowing authorized persons disposing of the access authorization means to mount or dismount the rotor (10).

    • A motor vehicle steering column lock includes a drove rod element extending axially along a bore within the housing of the steering column lock for actuating a steering column locking bolt member in accordance with known steering column lock mechanisms.
