    • A LCD is adapted to reduce the number of data lines and drive circuits. The LCD can be driven in a dot inversion manner, using a data driver employing column inversion. A gate driver sequentially supplies first and second gate signals to gate lines. First and second switching parts are located in an ith horizontal line and supply video signals from data lines to LC cells by the control of an ith gate line. Third switching parts supply video signals to the cells located in the horizontal line, and are connected to the same data line as the second switching part, and are controlled by the ith and an i−1th gate lines. Fourth switching parts supply video signals to the cells located in the horizontal line and are connected to the same data line as the first switching part, and are controlled by the ith and i−1th gate lines.

    • Disclosed is a pivot apparatus having a pivot member adapted so that, when pivoted to the service angle, it slides to the service position while interlocking with the pivot movement and is set in the service condition. To this end, a link interlocks the pivot movement based on the pivot structure with the sliding movement based on the siding structure. Particularly, the sliding structure is applied to the coupling between the support and sliding members, and the pivot structure is applied to the sliding and pivot members to pivotably couple them to each other. The link connects the support and sliding members so that, as the pivot member pivots relative to the sliding member by means of the user's pivot force, the sliding member slides to the desired direction and distance from the support member while interlocking with the pivot movement. As a result, the pivot member slides while interlocking with the pivot movement.

    • Disclosed is a sliding mechanism apparatus used for slidably opening and closing a slider-type cellular phone. A guide member and a slider member are engaged with each other so as to enable to slide relative to each other. The end of one arm of a first torsion spring is connected to the slider member near the left edge thereof. The end of the other arm thereof is coupled to the right half area of the guide member. The end of one arm of a second torsion spring is connected to the slider member near the right edge thereof. The end of the other arm thereof is coupled to the left half area of the guide member. From the expanded original state of the first and second torsion springs, if an external force is exerted on the slider member or the guide member, the torsion springs are compressed into an acute angle and then spread again by means of the elastic force thereof. In this way, the slider member can move to the lowermost position or the lowermost position. In the first and second torsion springs, the distance between the ends of two arms is larger than at least half of the width of the slider member. Therefore, the first and second torsion springs can maximally utilize the width of the guide member while turning, thereby extending the maximum travel distance of the slider member.
