    • A multi-eye imaging device includes M imaging systems each having an optical system and an imaging element (M is a natural number greater than or equal to 2). The imaging systems include one reference imaging system and M−1 dependent imaging systems. The imaging element of the reference imaging system and the imaging element of the dependent imaging system are arranged on a straight line that is substantially parallel with a pixel arrangement direction of the imaging element. when a length of one pixel of the imaging element is W, an imaging element of an L-th dependent imaging system (L is a positive integer having a maximum value of M−1) among the dependent imaging systems is arranged at a distance of W×((L/M)+N) (N is a natural number including 0) in a direction substantially orthogonal to the straight line in the plane with respect to the imaging element of the reference imaging system. This configuration make it possible to generate a high resolution image without performing complex control on the optical systems.

    • Provided is an image processing device that acquires from an input image a high-quality image that is free from halos and features high contrast from a dark image portion to a light image portion of the image. The image processing device (10) includes an illumination light component calculating unit (12) that calculates from an input image an illumination light component from brightness of a target pixel and brightness of a peripheral pixel. The image processing device (10) thus performs a gradation conversion process in accordance with the illumination light component. In the calculation of the illumination light component, the illumination light component calculating unit (12) acquires distance information indicating a distance to a subject in the input image, varies a weight to brightness in response to a difference between distance information responsive to the target pixel and distance information responsive to the peripheral pixel, and varies an area, referenced as the peripheral pixel, in response to the distance information responsive to the target pixel.
