摘要： The seismometer has motion-sensing means and recentering means for recentering the seismic mass to a zero position. It employs displacement sensors, preferably in two coordinates, to emit an output signal upon seismic mass motion. The displacement signal serves as an output signal, and, in addition, is fed back to the seismic mass centering means for optimum damping and recentering. The feedback through three channels of functionally different characteristics provides optimum feedback for broadband sensitivity and response.

摘要： A resilient member is provided with first and second local gravity vector determining devices secured thereto and spaced thereon. Force means is attached to the bar to bend it. The output of the local gravity vector determining devices is connected to the force means so that the resilient member is bent so that each of the gravity vector determining devices is oriented so that the local gravity vector is parallel to its reference axis. The local gravity vector determining device is a bubble level operating under a flat surface, with electrodes determining bubble position. Four force motors positioned around a stiff central spring deflect the member.

摘要： As level reference, the survey level incorporates an optical flat equipped with a leveling servo so that the optical flat is maintained accurately perpendicular to the direction of local gravity. Optics include an image rotating prism and a beam splitter arranged so that light from a target is split, part of it is reflected from the horizontal surface of the optical flat and the images are compared. When they horizontally correspond, the target is in the horizontal survey level reference plane. When the target is off that plane, two vertically displaced images are seen.
