摘要： Blocks of cigarettes are assembled by feeding cigarettes sideways from one or more rod cigarette machines to a collecting station where the cigarettes are assembled into rows of equidistant cigarettes and are thereupon transferred to a subdividing station provided with means for breaking up each row into several layers by moving portions of a row in directions at right angles to the axes of cigarettes. The resulting layers are moved axially to a stacking station where they form blocks consisting of two or more superimposed layers of cigarettes.

摘要： Apparatus for converting a single file of cigarette rod sections or like articles into two rows of parallel articles which move sideways comprises a pair of accelerating cams which engage alternate articles of the file and propel them, together with the preceding articles, into successive flutes of a continuously moving row forming drum. The latter is provided with pneumatic braking means which arrests the pairs of articles in their flutes and with one or two pneumatic displacing units which move the front articles lengthwise away from the rear articles and/or vice versa so that the articles form two rows whose articles are transferred into successive flutes of a receiving drum.

摘要： A filter tip which contains at least one charge of granular filter material is produced by moving a prefabricated upright tube sideways and introducing seriatim into the tube a first section of a filter plug, a charge of granular filter material, and a second section of the filter plug. The charge is formed immediately prior to introduction into the tube in a metering chamber which is adjacent to the upper end of the tube, and the first section is severed from the filter plug immediately prior to introduction through the upper end of the tube. The charge can be introduced in a current of air and/or by gravity.

摘要： Apparatus for converting a single row of cigarettes, filter rod sections or like rod-shaped articles into one or more files of articles which move sideways comprises a rotary drum having flutes which are sealed from the atmosphere during travel past and beyond the station where the articles of the row enter successive flutes. The articles in the flutes are braked by mechanical or pneumatic means to come to rest in first regions of the respective flutes and are thereupon shifted lengthwise by pneumatic means, in and/or counter to the direction of travel during entry into the flutes, to assume final positions in which they form one or more files of articles moving sideways.
