摘要： An automatic load brake having a wear-induced locking mechanism for a hoist is disclosed. In various embodiments, the load brake includes a first shaft defining an annular hollow portion and a radially outer surface; a second shaft defining an engagement portion and a radially inner surface, the radially inner surface configured to engage the radially outer surface; a first reaction plate coupled to the first shaft; a second reaction plate coupled to the second shaft; and a plurality of friction discs, with at least one of the plurality of friction discs coupled to a cup and disposed between the first reaction plate and the second reaction plate, the annular hollow portion of the first shaft being configured to lock to the engagement portion of the second shaft upon thinning of the plurality of friction discs.

The pinion may comprise a mesh gear disposed proximate a respective mesh gear of a rotor gear. The clutch assembly may be disposed between the fastener and the mesh gear. The fastener may be configured to compress the clutch assembly in the event a cable drum of the hoist is free spinning. The compression of the clutch may lock the pinion and the rotor gear and stop the cable drum from spinning freely.

The pump is operatively connected to the clutch such that a clutch slip event will cause the pump to delivery fluid from a fluid source to a region surrounding the friction plates of the clutch. The operation of the pump manages heat that is generated by the dynamic friction of the slipping clutch plates. The pump and associated fluid delivery methods are removably securable to an upstream end of an input shaft of the clutch. This allows the pump and associated fluid delivery methods to be used as modular components, that are easy to remove and replace for maintenance purposes, it also allows easier access to the internals of the clutch for maintenance.

摘要： A clutch comprises an input shaft, an output shaft, a biasing member and a plunger. The biasing member is arranged to provide a biasing force that allows torque transfer from the input shaft to the output shaft via one or more input friction plates and one or more output friction plates. Axial displacement of the plunger relative to the output shaft may cause the biasing force to vary to adjust the maximum torque setting of the clutch during reeling-in or reeling-out of a winch cable around a winch drum. A winch assembly may be provided that includes an arm in operable connection with a winch drum. The arm is displaced as the effective radius of the drum varies during reeling in or reeling out. Displacement of the arm can be communicated to the plunger to provide the axial displacement thereof.
