    • A device for holding a drawer closed includes a fork-like member which is pivotable between an inoperative position and an operative position. When the drawer is open, the fork-like member is normally in the inoperative position. As the drawer is closed, a pin on the drawer engages a first tine of the fork-like member to thereby pivot the latter to the operative position in which the pin is engaged by a second tine of the fork-like member. The second tine biases the pin under the action of a spring so as to hold the drawer closed. A returning member is integral with the fork-like member and serves to return the fork-like member to the inoperative position if the fork-like member is unintentionally pivoted to the operative position while the drawer is open. The returning member is provided with a channel having a first open end adjacent to the fork-like member and a second open end which faces the pin when the drawer is open and the fork-like member is in the operative position. The second open end has a resilient closure which permits entry of the pin into the channel but serves as a barrier to withdrawal of the pin. Upon closing the drawer, the pin enters the channel through the second open end. When the drawer is subsequently opened, the pin abuts the closure thus causing the returning member to pivot the fork-like member towards its inoperative position. The pin leaves the channel of the returning member via the first open end after the fork-like member reaches the inoperative position.

    • An adjustment device aligns a drawer that is mounted on rails. A body member is fastened to the rail. An activation part is movably hinged to the body member at a hinge area. The activation part is connected to a wedge piece. The activation part is moveable to achieve alignment between the rail and the drawer. The body member, the activation part, and the wedge piece are integrally made of a plastic material. The hinge is formed by a material constriction in the form of a film hinge. The film hinge has an axis that is approximately parallel to a fastening plane disposed between the body member and the rail. The wedge piece extends approximately at right angles to the hinge axis and to the activation part.

    • An arrangement for controlling the closing sequence of two wings of windows, doors, and the like, especially smoke or fire protection doors, which are closable by means of a door-closing device each. The two wings are a moving wing to be opened first and a resting wing to be opened subsequently, so that projecting edges of the doors which face each other come into contact with each other in the correct sequence. A control device is actuated primarily by the slide rollers of the door-closing device of the resting wing when the resting wing is opened. With the use of a control lever and a sliding member displaced by the control lever toward the axis of rotation of the resting lever, a locking member is pivoted into the return end region of the guide roller of the door-closing device of the moving wing. This locking member locks the final closing movement of the moving wing until the resting wing has been closed. The sliding member is maintained with the aid of a locking device in a swung-out position until the resting wing has again been closed. The guide roller of the door-closing device of the resting wing releases the locking device.

    • A support system for the body of a motor vehicle, especially a passenger car, is constructed as at least part of a fender, extending between one of the walls of the passenger compartment and one end part of the vehicle. The support system comprises an inner wall component and an outer wall component which are relatively equally subdivided into forward and rear sections along their length. The forward section and rear section of the support system meet in an area at which chassis-connection elements are located and together the wall components define strengthening and force-absorbing structures which extend in a vehicle longitudinal direction, the structures being constructed so as to be less resistant to deformation in the forward section than in the rear section. In accordance with a preferred embodiment the structures comprise at least two superposed, substantially parallel frame-like members. More particularly, the structures are formed by deformations in the wall components and create frame-like members that are hollow and tubular with flanges extending upwardly and downwardly therefrom.

    • A mount for a furnishing has a housing which is designed to be attached to the furnishing. A carrier is mounted in the housing for horizontal and vertical displacement and has a hook-like end portion which projects from the housing and can engage a hook on a wall. The housing is provided with a horizontal, keyhole-shaped slot, and a vertical screw is mounted in the slot and meshes with a thread in the carrier. The vertical screw, which serves to shift the carrier vertically, if fixed against axial displacement but is movable along the slot as the carrier is shifted horizontally. A horizontal screw is likewise held on the carrier so as to be fixed against axial displacement and serves to shift the carrier horizontally. The horizontal screw has a threaded section designed to mesh with a thread in the carrier and an unthreaded section which extends from the threaded section to the end of the screw. The unthreaded section prevents complete separation of the horizontal screw and the carrier in the event that the threads become disengaged thereby facilitating reengagement of the screw and the carrier. The horizontal screw is designed in such a manner that the vertical screw bears against an end of the slot remote from the horizontal screw at the time that the threaded section of the horizontal screw becomes disengaged from the carrier.
