    • A method of reproducing first images and second images simultaneously, synchronizing them with each other. The method includes the processes of: reading first image data representing the first images and second image data representing the second images from a recording medium; storing the first image data into a first memory device and storing the second image data into a second memory device; and separately and simultaneously decoding the first image data and the second image data by using a first decoding device and a second decoding device. In this method, each of the first image data and the second image data is divided into a plurality of data units each having an equal time length and an equal data size, and each of the data units of the first image data and each of the data units of the second image data are alternately arranged on the recording medium.

    • A tape draw-out mechanism in a tape recorder which has a tape cassette mounted thereon. The tape recorder includes a rotary drum having a magnetic head where a tape is drawn out from the tape cassette and wound on the rotary drum by a predetermined amount for recording and reproduction. The tape draw-out mechanism includes first and second guide members which are adapted to be movable along an outer periphery of the rotary drum for drawing out the tape from the tape cassette. Additionally, a third guide member is provided to draw the tape out in cooperation with the first and second guide members. The third guide member includes a first tape draw-out pin which adjusts the height of the tape passed through a capstan at a terminal end of the tape draw-out position to a height which corresponds to the height of the tape cassette position. Additionally, the third guide member includes a second tape draw-out pin for directing the tape whose height has been adjusted to a position which is parallel to the tape cassette.

    • An audio signal mixer capable of performing a long mix editing with simple manipulations. A second audio signal producing means is prevented from producing a second audio signal when an operating member is positioned at a first end, while a first audio signal producing means is prevented from producing a first audio signal when the operating member is positioned at a second end. As the operating member is moved away from the first end or the second end, the first and second audio signals are mixed. As the operating member is moved toward the second end, the level of the first audio signal is gradually decreased while the level of the second audio signal is gradually increased. Conversely, as the operating member is moved toward the first end, the level of the second audio signal is gradually decreased while the level of the first audio signal is gradually increased. Thus, only by manipulating the operating member, it is possible to control two audio signal producing means such as CD players to reproduce or stop as well as to control a cross-fade operation for audio signals reproduced therefrom.
