    • Dry electrographic toner compositions are provided comprising a plurality of dry toner particles, wherein the toner particles comprise polymeric binder comprising at least one amphipathic copolymer comprising one or more S material portions and one or more D material portions. The dry electrographic toner composition comprises a wax associated with the dry toner particles, wherein substantially all of the wax is associated with the toner particle at the surface thereof. Methods of making electrographic toner compositions are also provided comprising preparing polymeric binder particles comprising at least one amphipathic copolymer comprising one or more S material portions and one or more D material portions, preparing toner particles, drying the toner particles, and milling the dry toner particles in the presence of a wax component to provide a dry toner particle composition having the wax associated with the toner particles. These toner compositions provide images having excellent durability and erasure resistance properties at low fusion temperatures and with little undesired offset.

    • A crystalline phase of titanyl oxyphthalocyanine, referred to herein as the S-phase, has an internal blend of lattice arrangements is provided by treatment of the gamma-form of titanyl oxyphthalocyanine. The S-phase is a truly new phase, and not a mixture of particles of various phases (e.g., combinations of the beta-phase and the gamma-phase), with internal lattice distributions of atoms and molecules forming a new, non-continuous, non-uniform lattice structure. The x-ray spectrum shows a blend of diffraction peaks, having peaks that have previously been distinctly present only collectively among various crystalline forms of titanyl oxyphthalocyanine, but can now be provided in a single crystalline form. The visible spectra show significant absorption differences. The novel S-form titanyl oxyphthalocyanine is also used in a photoconductor displaying major peaks of Bragg's 2 theta angle to the CuK-alpha characteristic X-ray (wavelength 1.541 Angstrom) at least at 9.5±0.2 degrees, 9.7±0.2 degrees, 11.7±0.2 degrees, 13.5±0.2 degrees, (optionally at 21±0.2 degrees and/or 23.5±0.2 degrees,) 24.1±0.2 degrees, 26.4±0.2 degrees, and 27.3±0.2 degrees group. Additional peaks, approaching or equivalent to major peaks, may also be present as 15.0, 15.3 and 16.0±0.2 degrees.

    • A method and apparatus of the invention includes a method of removing airborne hydrocarbons from liquid electrophotographic printer exhaust comprises generating airborne hydrocarbon droplets as either vapor or mist during the transportation of electrophotographic ink or toner, directing substantially all of the air and hydrocarbon droplet mixture to a central collection point, forcing the air/droplet mixture to and through an oleophilic, substantially non-leaching collection media, and exhausting substantially hydrocarbon-free air from the electrophotographic printer. The method may further comprise inducing pressure in the printer with air pressure reduction to pull the exhaust through the collection media, for example with a pump or fan used to produce air pressure reduction. The method may comprise inducing airflow in the printer with ventilation holes or by the addition of a fan to provide a fresh air inlet. The air/hydrocarbon mixture may be directed to the collection media by a transportation system.
