摘要： A power driven tool for crimping a collar fitted on a shank of a rivet inlcudes an outer sleeve mounted on a body and having a portion for press fitting on an outer surface of the collar, and an inner sleeve disposed within the outer sleeve and reciprocally movable in an axial direction. The inner sleeve has a chuck for grasping the shank of the rivet. A drive shaft is threadably inserted within the inner sleeve and is driven by a motor in one direction or the other. A cam mechanism is disposed between the outer sleeve and the inner sleeve and includes a cam pin mounted on the outer sleeve, and a recess formed on the inner sleeve for engagement with the cam pin so as to prevent rotation of the inner sleeve relative to the outer sleeve. The recess includes a first relief portion and a second relief portion at both ends in an axial direction which permit rotation of the inner sleeve only in one direction and only in the other direction, respectively.

The handle includes a first grip portion to be grasped by an operator in one hand and a second grip portion to be grasped by the operator in another hand. The second grip portion is disposed at a position different from the first grip portion. A switch is provided in a circuit connecting the motor with a power source. The switch can be operated by the operator at the first grip portion so as to be turned on or off for starting or stopping the motor. For preventing the motor from being started by the switch, prevention means is operable by the operator at the second grip portion.

摘要： A switching circuit for varying rotational speed of a motor includes a power supply line for connecting the motor to a power source so as to supply driving power to the motor. A parallel connecting circuit of an on-off switch and a short circuiting switch is provided in the power supply line, in such a manner that the driving power is continuously supplied to the motor when the short circuiting switch is on, while in the case that the short circuiting switch is off, the driving power is supplied to the motor during on of the on-off switch but is not supplied during off of the on-off switch. A control member is provided for operation by an operator for varying rotational speed of the motor. The control member is operative for turning on the short circuiting switch at the maximum amount of its operation. The switching circuit further includes an output element for producing an output signal corresponding to the amount of operation of the control member, a continuously conductive switch to be continuously kept on when the control member is operated between the maximum amount of operation and the amount slightly smaller than the maximum amount, and a control element connected to the output element and the continuously conductive switch for controlling the on-off switch.
