    • A powder particle lumping recording apparatus low in cost and high in printing quality is disclosed. Toner 12 having a magnetic property contained in a toner container 21 is conveyed by a developing roller 11 constituting a magnet roller, and jumped under the effect of the electric field controlled by a control electrode formed on an FPC 22. The toner 12 is accelerated by the acceleration voltage for the conductive roller 15, attaches on a recording material inserted between the control electrode 13 and the conductive roller 15, and thus forms an image. The conductive roller 15 contains a magnet 16 therein. With the approach of the magnet 16 to the control electrode 13 by rotation of the conductive roller 15, the toner 12 can be attracted off. The toner 12 attached on the surface of the conductive roller 15 is mechanically removed by a cleaning blade 17 and accumulated in a housing 18. The conductive roller 15, the cleaning blade 17 and the housing 18 make up an easily-demountable cleaning unit 19.

    • A positioning system stops a transport car traveling along a transport path at a predetermined stop position. The system includes a pair of members coupled together by a magnetic attraction force. One of the members is disposed at the stop position, while the other of the members is disposed on the transport car, and at least one of the members is attached to the stop position or the transport car through a damper. Alternatively, the system may include two pairs of members coupled together by a magnetic attraction force, in which one of each pair of the members is disposed at the stop position, while the other of each pair of the members is disposed on the transport car, and one member of one of the pairs of members is attached to a guide mechanism which restricts a direction of movement of the one member attached to the guide mechanism caused by the action of magnetic attraction force between the members. Thereby, vibration of the transport car upon stoppage at the stop position is transmitted to the damper or guide mechanism and damped by damping action of the damper or frictional loss in the guide mechanism.

    • A screw feeder is provided having a lower screw shaft and an upper drive shaft which are detachably connected to each other. The drive shaft includes an outer tubular member, with an inner, generally solid, connecting member positioned within the drive shaft. The lower end of the tubular member of the drive shaft includes a generally tapered recess which is adapted to mate with a lower end of the connecting rod positioned therein. The lower end of the connecting rod has a plurality of generally axially arranged slits which make the lower rod end flexible, with the lower end having a generally frustoconical outer surface. The upper end of the screw shaft is adapted to be attached to the lower end of the drive shaft by at least one annular member which engages one of the shafts. The annular member has two inwardly protruding pins, with the lower end of the drive shaft having a portion with two generally L-shaped opposed recesses which are adapted to engage the pins. An upper end of the screw shaft has a throughbore which is adapted to be aligned with two opposed holes in the annular member, in order to attach the annular member to the top of the screw shaft by inserting a truncated frustoconical pin therein.
