    • A motor-vehicle shock absorber has a tube at least partially filled with damping liquid and extending, a piston rod axially shiftable inside the damper tube, and a piston connected to the piston rod and subdividing the damper tube into a piston rod-side working chamber and an opposite working chamber. An on-off control valve is axially movable inside the piston between a closed and an open position. A first soft-characteristic damping valve inside the piston through which the damping liquid may flow in both flow directions is connectable to a flow path of the damping liquid from one into the other working chamber through the control valve. A second hard-characteristic damping valve through which the damping liquid may flow in both flow directions is also provided in the piston.

    • The invention relates to a flow-control valve (1) for a hydraulic shock absorber. Components of the basic structure of the flow-control valve (I) are an axially movable slide (5) having a body (6) and a valve sleeve (7), an electromagnetic linear actuator (8) for axial displacement of the slide (5) and a fixed guide body (9) configured as a tube and having an end pin (10). The valve sleeve (7) is guided on the end pin (10) of the guide body (9) and cooperates with at least one valve opening (11) formed in the wall of the guide body (9) such that the flow cross section of the valve opening (11) can be altered by axial movement of the valve body (7). According to the invention the slide (5) is provided in a pole tube (12) fixed on the guide body (9). The body (6) of the slide (5) is guided with a clearance fit in a bearing ring (13) attached to a section of the pole tube (12) surrounding the body (6).

    • The invention is directed to a connection that can be easily made, produced at little expense, and can carry heavy loads. A housing block has a receiving bore with undercut portions, embodied by a groove, that extend over circumferential regions of this bore. A magnet valve has primary flange segments formed onto the valve body, which along their end face which face toward the opening of the receiving bore of the housing block are conically limited in cross section. These flange segments which extend over circumferential regions of the magnet valve body engage the undercut portions, formed in accordance with the cross section of the flange segments, in the manner of a bayonet mount type of connection. The connection is particularly suitable for use in hydraulic vehicle brake systems, where particularly strong forces between the magnet valve and the housing block must be absorbed.
