The amine is in a flowable particulate form and it is subject to sufficient agitation during the reaction to prevent agglomeration. The amide is recovered as a flowable particulate by evaporation of the acetic acid by product and any excess acetic anhydride.

摘要： The invention relates to a process in which a melt is mixed with, and emulsified in a colder aqueous phase at a temperature below the crystallization point of the molten compound, the melt only solidifying in the form of the dispersed particles after the emulsification step. To this end, the melt is sprayed into the aqueous phase to form a preliminary emulsion (12) and the preliminary emulsion is finely dispersed for 0.005 s to 0.15 s in a following homogenization nozzle (8) to form an emulsion (15) which then solidifies to form the final crystal suspension. The particle size can be clearly and reproducibly adjusted through the nozzle pressure during the emulsification step. The process may be used in particular for the production of highly concentrated dispersions of high-melting organic materials.

摘要： The present disclosure is concerned with aqueous dispersions of anionic acid dyes, especially the monosulphonated level dyeing acid dyes, which have low room temperature, low shear viscosities and good storage stability. This low viscosity enables them to be readily poured, pumped and otherwise handled. These dispersions comprise dyestuff solids with a controlled particle size distribution having a median value between about 1 and 10 microns; an anionic dispersant; and an electrolyte. In a preferred embodiment the pH is adjusted to give an optimum viscosity value. Another preferred feature is the adjustment of the rheology with a thickening agent such as xanthan gum. These dispersions find particular utility in the continuous dyeing of carpet, especially in Kuesters or foam dyeing equipment.

摘要： The present invention is concerned with the modification of the sodium salt of a known optical brightener to obtain a white crystalline material. The commercially available 4,4'-bis-(2-anilino-4-phenylamino-1,3,5-triazinyl-6-amino)-stilbene-2,2'-disulphonic acid is neutralized with a sodium base such as caustic and exposed to temperatures above about 65.degree. C. as an aqueous slurry containing some undissolved disodium salt. The water solubility of this salt may be inhibited by the addition of an electrolyte and the product may be recovered by spray drying.
