    • The present disclosure is directed cable connectors (14), electrical modules (12) and assemblies thereof. The cable connectors can provide a sealed connection having a rating of IP 66/67 between electrical modules such as lighting fixtures and an insulated cable (16). Cable connectors can be quickly and easily engaged and disengaged with electrical modules to create customizable electrical assemblies. The cable connector can have an upper portion (22) having piercing pins (26) for penetrating the cable at one end and contacting terminals (76) of the module at another end, and a lower portion for clamping against the cable and locking to the upper portion. A gel mat (44A) can be provided in an area surrounding the piercing pins for sealing the area from water and dust. The module can include a skirt for engaging with an elastomeric sleeve on the upper portion to create a seal when the module is mated with the cable connector.

    • A shielded electrical connector includes a dielectric housing having a front mating end, a rear terminating end and a plug-receiving cavity extending into the housing from the front mating end thereof. A conductive shield substantially surrounds the housing and has a front end, a rear end and at least one flexible arm extending from the rear end toward the front end of the shield. The flexible arm has a flared distal end for engaging a mating plug inserted into the cavity. The shield has an aperture aligned with the distal end of the flexible arm and into which the distal end can flex to increase the flexure range of the arm. A terminal is mounted on the housing and extends forwardly into the cavity for engaging an appropriate terminal of the mating plug.

    • A jack assembly includes a contact switching system for receiving a coaxial plug. The assembly includes an insulative housing having a plug-receiving chamber. A fixed terminal is mounted on the housing and has a fixed switch contact portion located outside the chamber. A moveable terminal is mounted on the housing and includes a spring arm located inside the chamber in the path of insertion of the coaxial plug. A movable switch contact portion is connected to the spring arm for movement therewith into and out of engagement with the fixed switch contact portion. The movable switch contact portion is located outside the chamber. Therefore, engagement of the coaxial plug with the spring arm inside the chamber is effective to cause relative movement of the switch contact portions outside the chamber.

    • A junction box is disclosed for a solar panel. The junction box can have a base portion and cover portion nesting together. The base portion can have an extending skirt portion and be secured to the solar panel and have one or more contacts for making electrical contact with the solar panel. All other electrical components of the junction box can reside in the top portion for ease of accessibility in making cable or wire connections and/or maintaining the electrical components therein. The cover portion can have one or more terminals for connecting to the one or more contacts of the bottom portion when the cover and base portion are brought together. The terminals can be configured and mounted to the cover to provide connection with cables, to be electrically connected to each other with electrical components, and to dissipate heat produced by the electrical components.
