摘要： A high speed cable with terminating assemblies at the respective ends of the cable includes a ground wire, one or more signal wires, and a conductive layer enclosing the ground wire and the signal wires. The ground wire as well as the signal wires and the conductive layer extend into the terminating assemblies, in each of which corresponding inductive elements are coupled between the conductive layer and the ground wire. In each terminating assembly, the ground wire is shunted to the conductive layer by inductive elements, thus providing added low frequency connectivity in the cable, while at the same time blocking high frequency noise energy that may be present in the ground wire and preventing it from being coupled into, and transmitted through, the conductive layer.

The connector includes a dielectric housing mounting a plurality of conductive terminals having tail portions for connection to appropriate circuit traces on the printed circuit board. A shielding shell is mounted over the dielectric housing and includes a top wall, opposite side walls and a rear wall. A bottom portion of the rear wall closest to the printed circuit board is connected to a ground pad on the circuit board by a surface connection.

摘要： An electrical connector is provided for mounting through an aperture in a panel with floating movement between the connector and the panel. A connector housing includes a mating portion insertable from a first side of the panel, through the aperture, to a position projecting from a second side of the panel. A first projection on the housing is engageable with the first side of the panel. A spring retention cap is positioned about the mating portion on the second side of the panel and includes a second projection for engaging the second side of the panel. An extension spring has opposite ends fixed to the spring retention cap and to the housing for drawing the first projection on the housing and the second projection on the spring retention cap against the first and second sides of the panel.

摘要： An electrical connector is provided with an integral switch. The connector includes a dielectric housing having a mating end. A fixed switch contact is immovably mounted on the housing. A movable switch contact is mounted on the housing and includes a contact portion movable into and out of switching engagement with the fixed switch contact. The movable switch contact includes a movable terminal portion at the mating end of the housing for engaging an appropriate terminal of a complementary mating connector. The movable terminal portion is integral with the contact portion for moving the contact portion relative to the fixed switch contact in response to mating of the connectors.
