    • For automobile drum brakes of the simplex and duo-duplex forms of construction, each having two brake shoes (10) floatingly mounted on a brake bracket (1), a special support is proposed for the one end of the brake shoe web (10) of each brake shoe (8), this support being constituted basically of a support pin (26) rotatable about its central axis, which possesses a recessed bearing surface, on which a corresponding counter-surface (35) of the brake shoe web (10) is slidably journalled. The new support makes possible the maintaining of a constant brake coefficient throughout the full range of wear of the brake lining (12).

    • Techniques described enable creation of a single log containing information from both server-side and client-side logs. A logging service receives page requests and other data from a user operating a computing device. These page requests are then stored in a server-side log. The logging service also receives interactions made by the user on a displayed page. These interactions are then stored in a client-side log separate from the server-side log. The logging service then converts a format of the data in the client-side log and merges the client-side and server-side logs to form a single log. A service provider may then analyze this single log to track how this and other users navigated the pages associated with the page requests.

    • An automatic test system for both production and trouble shooting evaluation of various computer peripheral controller devices. The automatic test system includes a central processing unit, a receiver card adapted to receive a particular type of peripheral controller-under-test and a peripheral emulator. The automatic test system may be employed in the testing of a wide range of peripheral controller devices by utilizing differing receiver cards adapted to each specific kind of peripheral under test. In operation command and data signals are sent from the processor to the controller-under-test through the receiver card, causing the controller-under-test to send modified command and data signals to the peripheral emulator. The central processor then accesses memory in the peripheral emulator to ascertain if the controller-under-test sent the proper commands and data. Testing is further carried out by the central processor loading both normal and abnormal data and status signals into the peripheral emulator and subsequently instructing the unit-under-test to extract the data from the emulator and submit it to the central processor.
