摘要： A user interface for a media convergence platform is disclosed. The television based user interface presents different types of media within a single user interface. The user interface displays, on a television display, selectable items to represent a music application, a photo albums application, a video application, and an Internet content application. The user selects an item displayed on the television display to invoke an application. The music application permits a user to select music available within the media convergence platform, and to playback the music through a device in the media convergence platform. The photo albums application permits a user to select one or more photos available within the media convergence platform, and to view the photos through a device in the media convergence platform. The video application permits a user to select one or more videos or video clips available within the media convergence platform and to playback the video/video clips through a device in the media convergence platform. The Internet content application permits a user to select an Internet content provider, available to the media convergence platform, and to receive content from the Internet content provider for playback on a device. The user interface also includes an edit mode, for editing items within the applications, and a status mode for obtaining system level status.

摘要： A device for sensing a magnetic field is described. The device comprises first, second and third leads and a junction between the leads. The junction and leads are arranged in a plane and the junction is configured to exhibit quantum confinement in a direction perpendicular to the plane. The first lead is arranged on one side of the junction and the second and third leads are arranged on an opposite side of the junction. The first lead is configured to limit angle of spread of charge carriers entering the junction so that, when charge carriers flow into the junction from the first lead, the charge carriers form a substantially nondivergent beam.

A concept recognition process is applied to automatically derive a representation of concepts embodied in the natural language communication. The collection of information is provided to a human agent through an interface. Through the interface, an identification of a particular item of information from the collection is received. The particular item is illustratively a sub-set of the collection of information, the sub-set being a particular proposed response to the natural language communication. The particular proposed response is delivered to the user.

A front housing and a rear housing are hingedly attached so that the front housing can rotate and allow access to the interior of the display. An axial force mechanism can be used to aid in rotating the front housing to an open position. A locking collar, support member, or axial locking member may be used to ensure that the front housing remains open. A removable front glass assembly or removable glass panel may be used with an exemplary embodiment. The front glass assembly or glass panel can be easily replaced if it becomes damaged by minimally-trained personnel. Gutters may be used between the front and rear housing as well as the front housing and front glass assembly to ensure an adequate seal against contaminates.

摘要： A system in a turbine engine for preventing wear on a tip shroud of a turbine blade that includes a pocket formed in a contact surface of the tip shroud and a plug that fits within the pocket and has a durable outer surface. The durable outer surface may include a cobalt-based hardfacing powder. The pocket may be machined out of the contact surface, and the plug may include a plug of predetermined size that fits snugly into the pocket. In some embodiments, the durable outer surface may substantially align with the contact surface after the plug is fitted into the pocket. In other embodiments, the durable outer surface may remain slightly raised from the contact surface after the plug has been fitted into the pocket.
