摘要： A coin acceptor for use in accepting coins, paper currency, tokens, or magnetic cards includes a multi-state visual display for indicating the condition of the coin acceptor or an attached device. The coin acceptor finds application in connection with gambling devices including video poker games and slot machines, as well as with vending machines, arcade games, automated teller machines, and other similarly actuated devices and machines. In a preferred embodiment, the coin acceptor finds application in connection with a progressive jackpot component for a live casino table game and includes a visual display having three different states. In a first state, corresponding to jackpot wager attract or invitation, a plurality of LEDs surrounding a token slot flash sequentially to form a traveling pattern around the slot. In a second state, corresponding to jackpot wager placement, the LEDs flash simultaneously. In a third state, corresponding to jackpot wager acceptance, the LEDs remain continuously illuminated.

In the electronic video device version, a player activates one or more push buttons to select one of the three operational modes. The underlying card game preferably comprises Twenty-One or a five-card stud poker variant known as Caribbean Stud.TM. poker, but may also comprise other card games such as five card stud, seven card stud, Jacks or better, etc.

A second antenna radiator is collinear and opposing the antenna radiator while sharing the counterpoise in common with the antenna radiator, such that the antenna structure is configured as a balanced dipole. The antenna structure can be contained internally within a single device housing and can operate over multiple frequency bands. The antenna provides high performance over a considerable bandwidth within each of the multiple frequency bands of operation, even where the frequency bands are not harmonically related.

A return loss value is then estimated by comparing at least one parameter of the interrogation signal and at least one parameter of the reflected signal (step 515).
