    • An electric fuse comprising two fuse links connected in parallel. Each fuse link includes a central portion, a first terminal portion, a second terminal portion on the opposite end of the central portion, the fuse link having a first surface, and a second surface opposite of the first surface. The fuse links are connected in parallel. Springs are tensioned on the fuse links, engaged with the central portion and the first terminal portion tensioned to separate the top fuse surface from the fusible element during short circuit. The interior surfaces of the fuse links are coated with a tin alloy to prevent oxidation of the operative surface.

    • A marine propulsion system comprising: a fuel-filled tank; an air compressor that generates compressed air; an engine that receives fuel from the tank, wherein the air compressor is powered by the engine; and at least one hot gas generator that receives compressed air from the air compressor, the hot gas generator comprising: (a) a combustion chamber having an inlet and an outlet, the compressed gas injected into the combustion chamber at the inlet, the combustion chamber adapted to produce hot gas; (b) an injection nozzle that receives fuel from the tank, the injection nozzle positioned proximate to the inlet of the combustion chamber, the injection nozzle adapted to spray the fuel into the combustion chamber; and (c) an exhaust nozzle positioned at the outlet of the combustion chamber through which the hot gas produced in the combustion chamber is discharged from the hot gas generator.

    • A method and at least two devices demonstrate improvements to energy extraction from a compressible rotation working fluid in a liquid ring heat engine, which has a rotor mounted in a case. A space in the case is occupied by a liquid that establishes a liquid ring piston for the rotor. The rotor defines at least a first and a second operating zone. In the first zone, the working fluid is expanded against the liquid and, in the second zone, the working fluid is re-compressed. Between the two zones, the working fluid is cooled. In one device, the cooling step occurs on the rotor in a third zone. In another device, the cooling occurs outside of the case.
