    • A method of driving an electrophoretic display is set forth for avoiding image-edge residual while sequentially displaying a first frame and a second frame. During the time of displaying the first frame, set a common voltage to be a first voltage, apply a second voltage different from the first voltage to a first pixel for writing a first data signal into the first pixel, and apply the first voltage to a second pixel adjacent to the first pixel for retaining a second data signal of the second pixel, which is different from the first data signal.     • A method for manufacturing capacitor lower electrodes of a semiconductor memory firstly forms a first stacked structure over a semiconductor substrate which has a plurality of conductive plugs. Then a second stacked structure is formed on the first stacked structure; furthermore, a plurality of trenches extending from a top surface of the second stacked structure to a bottom surface of the first stacked structure are formed and expose the conducting plugs; finally, conductive metal materials and solid conducting cylindrical structures are deposited in the trenches in turn, and the conductive metal materials contact with the conductive plugs and the conducting cylindrical structures. Each conducting cylindrical structure is a capacitor lower electrode. Accordingly, the present invention can increase the supporting stress of the capacitor lower electrodes and further reduce the difficulty in disposing of capacitor upper electrodes and capacitor dielectric layers outside the capacitor lower electrodes.

    • The present invention provides a method for modulating backlight sources for flat panel displays (FPD), which comprises: lowing steps: step 31: turning on a display screen; step 32: identifying whether the total number of the BLL groups provided on the backlight module is an odd number or an even number; step 33: turning on the one BLL group located at the center-most region of the backlight module while the total number of the BLL groups is an odd number; step 34: turning on the two BLL groups located at the center-most region of the screen while the total number of the BLL groups is an even number; step 35: turning on the two backlight groups located at the two outer side of the center turned-on backlight groups while turning off the center turned-on backlight groups, and similarly, progressing the turning-on and the turning-off from the center region to the two outer edge of the backlight module and then reverse-progressing respectively from the two edges to the center region, so as to complete a full cycle; step 36: determining whether the display screen is off; if so, the process proceeds to step (37); otherwise, the process goes to step (31); and step 37: ending the process.
