    • A candle assembly includes a melting plate having a capillary pedestal, a wick holder that fits over the capillary pedestal, a wick that is carried by the wick holder, and a fuel element that fits over the wick and wick holder and rests on the melting plate. The fuel element includes a duct therethrough for receiving the wick holder. The fuel element is adapted to prevent improper insertion of the wick holder into the duct. The duct is adapted to facilitate successful initial ignition and sustained burn of the wick by having a width that is selected to ensure that melted fuel material engages the wick when dripping down the duct. A capillary well disposed between the wick holder and the capillary pedestal may be adapted to promote a successful relight after an initial burn of the candle assembly. A candle holder, such as including the melting plate supported by a base, may be adapted to promote laminar air flow thereacross during a burn in a substantially calm atmospheric environment.

    • Handheld dust removal devices that selectively utilize vacuum pressure are disclosed. Preferably each device includes a small lightweight handle that houses a vacuum assembly having an electric motor and a battery. The device further includes a duster assembly for removably holding a dusting cloth or cover, whereby it can be used similarly to a conventional duster. The vacuum source can be fluidly connected to and draw a vacuum airflow through the duster assembly, for example, through and/or around the dusting cloth. In some implementations, this is done by drawing the vacuum airflow toward opposing lateral portions of the duster assembly. Some implementations further include an auxiliary vacuum inlet that is adapted and configured for drawing large particles such as crumbs, hair, and others thereinto. The auxiliary vacuum port can be displaced from the duster assembly, e.g., mounted to the handle or elsewhere, as desired.

    • A process for replacing a full wound bobbin on a bobbin winding machine with an empty bobbin support, wherein the yarn is wound onto the bobbin support in a bobbin winding zone by a traversing yarn guide. The process includes moving the traversing yarn guide out of the winding zone when the bobbin is completed, and into a cutting and clamping zone for severing the yarn. The yarn continues to be fed by the spinning machine, and will be collected by a suction pipe while the full bobbin is being replaced by an empty support. The suction pipe moves the yarn into a position to be clamped and cut by a cutting and clamping device, which rotates with the support for the bobbin. The yarn is guided to wind a reserve onto the end of the bobbin support before moving the yarn back into the winding zone to be wound by the traversing means onto the empty bobbin support.The invention also includes a device for carrying out the process of the invention. This device comprises a traversing yarn guide which is detachably connected to the yarn traversing means by a permanent magnet. When the full bobbin is completed, means are provided for detaching the yarn traversing guide from the yarn traversing means, and to move it into the cutting and clamping zone.
