摘要： The disclosure provides an emergency message transmission method and an electronic device implementing the method. The electronic device stores a reference voltage value and comprises a smoke assessing unit. The method includes steps: capturing air composition around the electronic device, assessing whether the air composition has changed, if the air composition has changed, detecting an electrical current of the smoke assessing unit, amplifying the electrical current and converting the amplified current to a voltage value, comparing the converted voltage value with the reference voltage value, judging whether the converted voltage value reaches the reference voltage value, and if the converted voltage value reaches the reference voltage value, outputting a signal including an emergency message.

摘要： An assay device capable of assaying purity of a substance in an object includes a memory, an emitter, a receiver, a processing unit, and a display device. The memory stores names and standard densities of a number of substances. The emitter emits rays at the object. The receiver receives the rays reflected by the object. The processing unit calculates density of the object according to intensity of the emitted rays and intensity of the reflected rays. The processing unit further calculates purity of a selected substance in the object according to the density of the object and standard density of the selected substance stored in the memory, and outputs the calculated purity to the display device.

摘要： A keyboard includes an input interface, a rotatable infrared emitter, a first counter, a second counter, an infrared receiver, and a processor. The rotatable infrared emitter emits infrared light across the input interface which represents a keyboard. The first counter starts a count at each beginning of the infrared light emission. The second counter starts a count when the infrared emitter rotates to reach a reference direction in each rotating period. The infrared receiver stops the counts of the first counter and the second counter when the infrared receiver receives infrared light reflected from an obstacle. The first counter defines a transmission time of the infrared light. The second counter defines a rotating time. The processor calculates a position of the obstacle on the input interface according to the transmission time, the rotating time, a rotating speed of the infrared emitter, and positions of the infrared emitter and infrared receiver.

摘要： A computerized method for subscribing an international roaming plan for a communication device, the communication device includes an electronic map. At least one border checkpoint of a predetermined country can be determined on the electronic map. A distance between a current location of the communication device and the location of the at least one border checkpoint is calculated. When the calculated distance is less than a predetermined distance and the current location of the communication device is within the home country, a user may be prompted to select whether to subscribe to an international roaming plan for a particular period of time. A preset message is sent to a predetermined service terminal provided by a telecommunication company to subscribe to the international roaming plan for the communication device when the user makes a selection to subscribe to the international roaming plan for the communication device.
