摘要： A dual-stack document storage bin comprises a substantially U-shaped container including a first bottom wall which interconnects first and second sidewalls to provide (i) the substantially U-shape, and (ii) a first document storage chamber which is defined between the first and second sidewalls and into which documents can be stacked to form a first stack of documents when the U-shaped container is in a first position. The dual-stack document storage bin further comprises a substantially L-shaped housing including a second bottom wall and a third sidewall which is disposed relative to the second bottom wall to provide (i) the substantially L-shape, and (ii) a second document storage chamber which is defined between the third side wall and the second sidewall and into which documents can be stacked to form a second stack of documents when the U-shaped container is in a second position which is different from the first position. The dual-stack document storage bin also comprises a mechanism operatively coupled between the first and second bottom walls to support substantially horizontal sliding movement of the U-shaped container between the first position in which documents can be stacked onto the first stack of documents in the first document storage chamber and the second position in which documents can be stacked onto the second stack of documents in the second document storage chamber.

摘要： A plunger moves from a retracted position to an extended position to engage a document which is on a receiving platform to push the document through an opening in the receiving platform and towards a stacking platform to stack the document on the stacking platform. The plunger moves from the extended position back to the retracted position to allow a biasing force which is acting on the stacking platform to press the document which has just been stacked on the stacking platform against the receiving platform. A supporting mechanism supports first and second plate members of the receiving platform for pivoting movement between a non-parallel position in which the plate members form a substantially wide V-shape to cup the document as the plunger pushes the document through the opening and onto the stacking platform, and a parallel position in which the plate members are substantially parallel to each other as the plunger moves back to the retracted position to allow the biasing force which is acting on the stacking platform to press the document which has just been stacked on the stacking platform against the receiving platform.

The first configurable mechanism may comprise a three-way diverter which (i) diverts checks from an inlet path to a first outlet path when the SCPM is installed into the first type of self-service check depositing terminal, (ii) diverts checks from the inlet path to a second outlet path which is different from the first outlet path when the SCPM is installed into the second type of self-service check depositing terminal, and (iii) diverts checks from the inlet path to a third outlet path which is different from the first and second outlet paths when the SCPM is installed into the third type of self-service check depositing terminal. The SCPM may further comprise a second configurable mechanism located in the supporting structure and for enabling an escrow re-bunch module (ERBM) to be installed. The second configurable mechanism may comprise a two-way diverter which (i) diverts checks from an input path to a first output path when an ERBM, is not installed, and (ii) diverts checks from the input path to a second output path which is different from the first output path when an ERBM is installed.
