摘要： A RAID system is provided which can be implemented as a hardware RAID system while avoiding certain shortcomings of previous RAID systems. The RAID system makes it possible to avoid or reduce the number of buffers or processors and can take advantage of drive logic to achieve RAID functions or enhancements. RAID functionality can be provided in a manner to accommodate one or more ATA drive interfaces. To avoid drive replacement problems, host requests for drive serial numbers are responded to with a mirror serial number. In one embodiment, the read address is used to select which drive will perform a read operation.

摘要： An automatic toilet plunger for clearing a blockage in a toilet includes a pipe having a plunger head engaged to a bottom end thereof so that the plunger head is in fluidic communication with the pipe. A pair of arms is hingedly engaged to the pipe. The arms are selectively positionable in an extended configuration and a stowed configuration. In the extended configuration, the arms engage a seat of a toilet. The arms fold downwardly, toward the bottom end of the pipe, into the stowed configuration. A handle, which is engaged to a top end of the pipe and which extends bilaterally therefrom, is hollow and in fluidic communication with the pipe. An actuator is engaged to at least one of the handle and the pipe and positioned therein. The actuator is manipulated to cause the plunger head to clear a blockage in the toilet.

摘要： A method for producing an image of an object within a chamber of a microfluidic device includes providing the microfluidic device having x, y, and z dimensions and a chamber depth center point located along the z dimension. When the focal plane is moved along the optical path, the fiducial marking is maximally detected when the focal plane is at the z depth in comparison to when the focal plane is not substantially in-plane with the z depth.
