摘要： A portable traffic marker characterized by a horizontal roadengaging base member and a vertical standard normally extending upwardly from the base. The standard is operatively connected to the base member by a plurality of peripherally spaced and radially extending elastic cords. The base is relatively heavy and is capable of remaining in a stable condition on the ground even under high wind conditions or when run over by a moving vehicle. The resilient connection between the base and standard permits the latter to readily move between its normal upright or vertical position downwardly to a generally horizontal position when acted upon by outside forces, and without effecting movement of the base.

摘要： A collapsible and adjustable dolly is provided for removing or installing heavy domestic appliances such as ovens, airconditioners and the like from built-in cabinetry. The adjustable dolly includes a pair of tandem dolly wheel assemblies rigidly interconnected by a foot bar and pivotably supporting a pair of rear vertical support frames. A vertically adjustable front lifting bar pivotably interconnects the front vertical legs of each of the vertical side frame members for supportively engaging the front portion of the appliance. The side frame members are rearwardly pivoted toward the side of the appliance as it is wheeled out of the cabinet on the front tandem wheel support structure. A pair of vertically adjustable lugs, carried from the rear vertical legs of the vertical side frame members, engage the rear portion of the appliance for placing the four-wheel dolly under the appliance.

The apparatus comprises a pair of opposed, overlapping rubber pads mounted in a container. One or more air cylinders or like means link the pads. The cylinders can be actuated from the rig floor to draw the pads together around the string as it sways laterally during tripping. The pressure with which the pads press against the string can be adjusted; this permits the unit to operate as a stripper when the string is being pulled from the well, and as a well bore cover when the string is being run back into the well.

The mask comprises a portion of a spray discharge assembly that receives and supports the aerosol spray assembly. A discharge head mounted in the spray discharge assembly actuates the aerosol spray assembly upon movement of the aerosol spray assembly into the spray discharge assembly, and includes a normally sealed spray discharge passageway which is opened to permit discharge of the spray. A reticular foam collar mounted in the spray discharge assembly absorbs spurious spray, and a viewing port formed through the spray discharge assembly facilitates alignment of the aperture in the mask with a typing error.

摘要： Apparatus useful for determining the proper point size of type to set for a given copy which must fit within a given line length. A perforated endless belt or screen is operatively trained about a pair of end rolls within a boxlike housing. One run of the belt passes beneath an opening in the top or cover plate of the housing, which opening extends for substantially the entire transverse width of the belt. A card having a series of parallel slots is adapted to be received within a card locating means on the cover plate with the slots of the card encompassed within the boundaries of the opening. Each slot extends longitudinally of the adjacent run of the belt and is of a length proportional to the width of a character or letter of type. Different cards are provided for different type styles. With the card in position on the housing, a stylus is inserted through a slot in the card and engaged with the perforated belt or screen. The belt is then manually advanced by the stylus for a distance corresponding to the full length of the slot. By successively inserting the stylus through a plurality of slots to advance the belt corresponding to the letters or characters of the given copy, the belt is moved a total distance representative of a total ''''unit value'''' for the copy. This distance of advancement is indicated by a counter operatively coupled to one of the belt end rolls. The ''''unit value'''' thus obtained is then divided into a number representative of the given or required line length to obtain a number called the ''''set width factor.'''' The ''''set width factor'''' thus obtained is then applied to a chart which indicates the particular point size of type required to fill the given line length with the given copy.
