摘要： A parts retaining panel, especially useful in assembling the timing drive of an internal combustion engine, retains the timing components in the same arrangement that they are in when mounted on the engine. The parts can be stored and transported on stacked retaining panels, and, after the parts are mounted on the engine, the panel 32 is removed and reused. The parts retaining panel reduces assembly time, and prevents mounting of improper parts and inadvertent omission of parts.

摘要： A tensioner lever for chain drives has an internal space formed therein for accommodating within it at least a coiled portion of a torsion coil spring. The internal space has an opening for enabling the torsion coil spring to be assembled in the internal space. The lever body further has a boss disposed inside the internal space. The boss has an axial hole through which a pivot shaft extends and an outer peripheral surface around which the coiled portion of the torsion coil spring is loosely fitted, the axial hole and the outer peripheral surface being concentric with each other. The tensioner lever of the foregoing construction requires only a small space for installation to a mount surface and can be easily and speedily assembled onto the mount surface.

摘要： A chain guide for guiding a chain includes an elongated chain guide body pivotally connected at one end to a fixed support member and having an aperture formed in an opposite end of the chain guide body, and a collar loosely fitted in the aperture in such a manner that a clearance is defined between the chain guide body and the collar at least on that side of the collar which is aligned with a direction of pivotal movement of the chain guide body. The collar is firmly secured to the fixed support member so that the chain guide body is allowed to pivot within the range of the clearance. With the clearance thus provided, the chain is protected against excessive tightening or loosening which may otherwise occur when the chain guide is mounted on the fixed support member.
