    • A method of generating an inspection data used for inspecting an inspection-object pattern on a substrate, the inspection-object pattern formed by transferring a first mask pattern formed on a first mask and a second mask pattern formed on a second mask onto one layer on the substrate, a part of a first transferred pattern of the first mask pattern and a part of a second transferred pattern of the second mask pattern being overlapped on the layer. The method performs a corner process on each corner of a first design data of the first mask pattern and each corner of a second design data of the second mask pattern and generates an inspection data by performing a logical operation using the corner-processed first design data and the corner processed second design data.

    • It is an object of the present invention to accurately position a cylinder of a high-pressure fuel pump with respect to an attachment fitting hole provided in an engine block of an internal combustion engine in mounting the pump on the engine block.The high-pressure fuel pump of the invention is provided with a holder including: an outer cylindrical surface portion fitted to a high-pressure fuel pump attachment fitting hole installed on an engine block of the internal combustion engine; and a cylindrical fitting portion fitted to an outer circumference of the cylinder of the pump. The holder is configured such that the outer cylindrical surface portion and the cylindrical fitting portion are formed in a single piece resulting from machining one and the same member. Such a configuration can achieve the above-mentioned object. The central axis of an insertion hole of the piston plunger installed in the cylinder easily provides coaxiality with respect to the central axis of the attachment fitting hole installed in the engine block of the internal combustion engine. Biting and wear between the cylinder and the piston plunger, which are caused by the side force applied to the piston plunger by a drive mechanism, can be reduced.

The whole or part of the portion of the metal diaphragm assembly other than the weld (for example, the portion inside the weld) is clamped by a pressing member and thereby the assembly is secured in a housing enclosure. The housing enclosure may be formed integrally with the body of a high pressure pump.
