    • A longitudinal adjusting device in a motor vehicle seat, particularly for two-door motor vehicles, wherein the seat includes a backrest and a seat portion secured at running rails of a rail arrangement and wherein each running rail is longitudinally displaceably arranged in a guide rail. At least one running rail is supported at the respective guide rail through a spring member such that the running rail is biased forwardly. At least one running rail includes a releasable locking device for the longitudinal adjustment, and the locking device includes a positioning device for making it possible to find or reset a previously adjusted longitudinal seat position. The positioning device includes a positioning disk provided with a stop, wherein the positioning disk is rotatably supported on a structural component forming part of the moveable seat portion and wherein the positioning disk can be releasibly secured against the force of a torsion spring. The stop of the positioning disk limits the rotary movement of a rotary member which also has a stop and serves to transpose the linear movement of the running rail relative to the guide rail in relation to the return pushing movement of the seat, wherein at least one stop ring may be arranged between the positioning disk and the rotary member.

    • The positioning drive for a motor vehicle door closing device, particularly for a motor vehicle central locking mechanism, comprises an electric motor, a transmission, a gear/spindle unit and a positioning element all mounted in a housing. The positioning element is extendible and retractable by alternating action with the spindle. So that the positioning element can be moved back to its initial position without operation of the motor or application of a external manual force a spring extensible by a rotary motion is mounted in the transmission. It is attached with one end on a rotatable transmission component and braced or supported with the other end on the housing. This spring is extensible by the electric motor with the extension or retraction of the positioning element. The positioning element is returnable to its initial position by operation of the spring after the electric motor is shut off.

    • A locking device for vehicle seats, in particular motor vehicle seats, has a row of detent openings and a plurality of spring-loaded bolts which are disposed one behind the other in the direction of this row. The locking bolts engage independently of one another in the detent openings. At least two of these bolts can each engage in one of the detent openings and lock the seat parts without play in both adjusting directions, in any position within the adjusting range of these parts which are to be locked. The seat parts can be continuously adjusted relative to one another. In addition to its movability enabling it to engage in one of the detent openings, each locking bolt has at least one component part which is separately movable. A flat area is provided on each bolt for play-free abutment on the delimiting surface of each detent opening and is brought into abutment with the delimiting surface without altering the depth of penetration of the bolt in the detent opening.

    • A motor-vehicle latch has an actuating lever displaceable between a position in which a respective door of the vehicle is locked and a position in which the respective door is unlocked. A locking knob connected to the lever is accessible from inside the vehicle to displace the lever between its positions. The actuator has a housing mounted directly on the door latch and formed with at least one longitudinally directed abutment face, a motor in the housing, a nut longitudinally displaceable in the housing by the motor between unlocked, locked, and antitheft positions, and a slide in the housing movable by the nut between locked and unlocked positions and formed with a recess receiving a portion projecting from the lever. At least one flexible arm extends longitudinally from the slide and has a head formed with a face directed longitudinally opposite the abutment face of the housing. These faces longitudinally confront but are out of longitudinal line with each other in the locked positions of the slide and nut. An actuating formation on the nut is engageable with the arm for laterally elastically deflecting the arm on displacement of the nut from the respective locked to the anti-theft position. Thus the faces are longitudinally aligned and prevent displacement of the slide into the unlocked position with the nut in the anti-theft position.
