The sidewalls of the pallet whose follower engages the stop at the front end of the cylindrical conveyor are engaged by idler rollers which maintain the respective pallet above and out of contact with the belt conveyors.

    • A method, a computer program product, a communication end device and a system for securing a payment transaction, between a communication end device and a server instance. The communication end device includes a processor with an insecure runtime environment and a secure runtime environment. The method includes setting up a first communication channel between the communication end device and the server instance; and sending transaction-relevant data from the communication end device to the server instance via the first communication channel. A second communication channel is set up between the browser application in the insecure runtime environment and a transaction application in the secure runtime environment, and the inputted transaction-relevant data is sent to the transaction application via the second communication channel. The transaction application generates from the received part of the transaction-relevant data a confirmation information item for securing the transaction employed for authorizing the transaction in the server instance.

    • In a method for authorizing a transaction by a user with the aid of a terminal which can communicate with a background system, a secret, which is known to the user and to the background system but not to an unauthorized attacker, is used. The background system transmits secret data, which indicate the secret, only to the terminal if the terminal has successfully authenticated itself at the background system. Because, as a rule, secret data of several users are stored in the background system, the terminal detects in advance identification information which identifies the user, and transmits corresponding user identification data to the background system. When the terminal displays the secret to the user, the user can be certain that the terminal is trustworthy. A device and a computer program product comprise corresponding features. The invention provides a technique for authorizing a transaction by a user with the aid of a terminal which enables the user to recognize a falsified terminal.

The pointer (P) consists of a first pointer (P1, P1*) and a second pointer (P2, P2*) redundant with respect to the first pointer. Each pointer contains a check value in the form of the inverse or complement code of the actual pointer. Due to the second pointer and the check value, the pointer is written with optimal safety. In case of a disturbance in the course of pointer updating, the old first pointer can later alternatively be recovered from the second pointer or the second pointer updated with the aid of the new first pointer.

    • The invention relates to a method for the transport of heat energy from at least one heat source to at least one heat sink, in particular for a district heating network, by means of a working fluid which includes a mixture of at least one first component having a first boiling point and of a second component having a second boiling point, with the first boiling point being lower than the second boiling point. The method includes the step of an at least partial vaporization of the first component of the working fluid by the supply of heat from the heat source. The vaporized portion of the first component is transported separately from the working fluid depleted by the vaporization with respect to the first component from the heat source to the heat sink by means of a transport means. Subsequently, the vaporized first component is absorbed by the depleted working fluid while emitting the heat absorbed on the vaporization to the heat sink. The temperature of the first component and of the depleted working fluid on the transport from the heat source to the heat sink substantially corresponds to a temperature prevailing in the environment of the transport means. The invention further relates to an extraction apparatus to increase the efficiency of the extraction of a component of the working fluid and to a district heating network for the transport of heat energy.
