摘要： An electronic sign employs a bi-stable, non-volatile display material activatable by electrodes to convey information. A sensor detects when the electronic sign is inserted in or in the vicinity of an insertion area, and controls the operation of the sign based on the detected location. A backplane in the electronic sign includes different patterns of addressable elements to provide a display that pixel, font region, or icon addressable or have a combination of one or more of the pixel, font region, or icon addressability. A remote device communicates with the electronic sign, and multiple electronic signs may communicate with each other via a communication protocol, such as mesh networking.

Methods for the analysis of multivariate data collected from a plurality of subjects of known class are provided. The results of such analyses include a set of intermediate combined classifiers as well as a metal variable that relates directly to the classes of the subjects in a training population. Both the intermediate combined classifiers and the final meta model are used to distinguish and classify subjects of previously unknown class.

摘要： A novel application of independent component analysis (ICA) to data acquired by a single sensor. The technique exploits the unique relationship between multiple physiologic (source) and electronic (artifact) components in surface recorded sensory nerve action potential (SNAP) waveforms that are evoked by different activating magnitudes. A forward model of the SNAP is developed and used to test the approach on a simplified data simulation. The method is applied to experimental data and shown to be effective at separating artifact and source components and reconstructing artifact-free traces. A method of automated reconstruction for use within an expert system is also disclosed.
