摘要： Disclosed is a hearing aid that includes a first component operable to receive an input and a second component operable to provide an output to at least one ear of a user of the hearing aid. The first component and the second component are electrically coupled together by a closed electrical circuit including at least one electrical conduction pathway formed by skin of the user between the first component and the second component. An electrical signal is transmitted from the first component to the second component with the closed electrical circuit. Communication between the first and second components can be one-way or two-way.

摘要： A spinning amusement device is provided which may include a first arm coupled to an opposing second arm. A neck aperture may be disposed centrally between the first arm and the second arm. A first seat may be coupled to the first arm, and a second seat may be coupled to the second arm. Preferably, the device may be used by an adult user who may position their neck in the neck aperture, a first child user received in the first seat in a seated position, and a second child received in the second seat also in a seated position. The adult user may rotate the device, preferably by rotating their own body with the first arm and second arm, and the two children may therefore be spun or rotated while the majority of the centrifugal force of the children is borne by the device and by the children which are in a seated position.

摘要： A collimator apparatus is disclosed for directing a high energy electron beam from an accelerator through an exit aperture and through a spaced and non-connected collimator tube in juxtaposition with a target area in a patient. The collimator tube is adjustably positioned and positionally maintained by jig structure supported independently of the accelerator structure. A rod type alignment device is releasably positionable in the collimator tube to define alignment of that tube by a novel method using traditional isocentric motions of a patient couch and accelerator gantry. Collimator tubes of varying diameters and exit configurations may be selectively utilized to accurately conform an electron beam to a particular target area and provide uniform irradiation over that target area.

摘要： A method of cold in-place recycling of asphalt to remediate distressed roads. Asphalt particles obtained by milling the existing asphalt are limited by screening to a maximum size of about one inch length. Asphalt particle size may be established by limiting tooth spacing of the road milling equipment milling head to about 5/16 inch or 8 millimeter spacing intervals. A predetermined proportion of portland cement, water, and asphalt emulsion are added to generated asphalt particles. Portland cement may be deposited onto the existing asphalt prior to milling. The resulting combination is mixed to generate a recycled mix, which may then be discharged onto the road being remediated and further processed, such as by screeding, compacting, and sealing.

摘要： A system for managing token image replacement is provided. The system includes a remote server, a personal computer (PC) connected to the remote server, a smartcard that can be read by the PC, and a card image server. Using application logic and rules, the remote server is able to read the card image on the smartcard and determine if the card image on the smartcard needs to be updated. If an indicator on the smartcard is set to “update”, the remote server then retrieves a backup card image that corresponds to the card from the card image server. The remote server forwards the backup card image to the PC which, in turn, writes the backup card image including transaction information to the smartcard. Once the backup card image is written onto the smartcard, the indicator in the smartcard is then reset to ensure that subsequent interactions with the system would not initiate an update.
