摘要： There is disclosed a photoconductor for use in an electrophotographic apparatus. The photoconductor includes a conductive substrate and a photoconductive layer formed on the conductive substrate. The photoconductive layer includes an As.sub.2 Se.sub.3 alloy containing 36% to 40% by weight of As and doped with 1,000 to 20,000 parts per million of iodine. A method of manufacturing a photoconductor is also disclosed, which includes forming a photoconductive layer by vapor deposition on a conductive substrate and thermally treating the photoconductive layer at a temperature between 100 and 200 degrees Celsius for a period between 30 and 80 minutes. Advantageously, the photoconductor of the present invention is able to provide high quality images at high printing speeds.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to prevent the occurrence of resinous gloss on the surface of a molded porous material into which a synthetic resin is impregnated, and to attain this object, the present invention provides a resin compound for processing a porous material by coating, impregnating or mixing it on/in to the porous material wherein a colloidal silica is added to a thermosetting resin in an amount of more than 5% by mass, so that when the porous material which is processed by the resin compound is press molded, and as the resin compound oozes to the surface of the resulting molded porous material, the colloidal silica prevents the occurrence of the resinous gloss on the surface of the molded porous material.

The belt fixing unit includes a moving fixing belt heated by a heater, a pressure member provided inside the fixing belt, a pressure roller provided opposite to the pressure member through the fixing belt to form a nip portion, a transfer material having a toner image thereon passing the nip portion and thereby the toner image being fixed on the transfer material, and a pressing force change unit capable of changing a pressing force of the pressure member against the pressure roller. The controller controls the pressing force change unit to change the pressing force according to print information for both faces of the transfer material.

摘要： An induction heating device for inductively heating an object to be heated which is formed of conductive material has a holder. The device also has a coil for inductively heating the object. The coil is supported by the holder. The coil is composed of a plurality of turns of conductor forming a layer, which is positioned along the object. Between conductor sections of the coil through which electric currents respectively flow in the same direction is formed a gap through which temperature of the object is detected. The device is capable of accurately detecting the temperature of heating region of the object, at low cost, and capable of increasing stability and safety in control of the temperature.
