摘要： A portable terminal is disclosed and which is adapted to display thereon a plurality of functions as a menu for allowing a desired one of the plurality of functions to be selected and executed, comprising: a detailed menu encompassing various functions of the overall portable terminal; a simplified menu including highly frequently used functions which are extracted from those of the detailed menu and having a hierarchy structure different from that of the detailed menu; and display switching means for switching between said first menu and said second menu to be displayed exclusively from each other. The portable terminal thus constructed is excellent in its operability in particular for users who are aged or unfamiliar with the portable terminal by the provision of the simplified and detailed for execution of readily menu manipulation.

The electronic apparatus having the fixed case unit and movable case unit also includes a movable arm, which is fitted openably and closably to the fixed case unit via a hinge. The movable case unit is supported rotatably on the movable arm, and the rotation center of the movable case unit is set at a position near the hinge to be on or near the centerline of the movable case unit.

摘要： The surface of a metal is treated in a fluidized bed system, in which a hot rolled metal is continuously subjected to an in-line treatment to suppress the formation of scale on its surface or to remove the same therefrom, and then is introduced into a gaseous fluidized bed of a non-oxidizing gas, which contains metal or alloy particles having a low melting point, as fluidized particles, so as to bring the hot rolled metal into contact with the fluidized particles. As a result, the fluidized metal particles or alloy particles may be melted and solidified on the surface of the rolled metal to provide a coated layer of a metal or alloy having a low melting point on the surface thereof. In addition, during the surface treatment in the fluidized bed system, a heat treatment such as patenting or cooling may be applied concomitantly in combination therewith.

摘要： A process for the direct reduction of iron oxide by blowing into a reduction furnace a reducing gas which is prepared by reforming a mixture of a reduction furnace exhaust gas and a gas mainly composed of methane, which comprises the steps of dividing the gas mainly composed of methane into two branch streams, mixing the first branch stream gas with a part of the reduction furnace exhaust gas and supplying the resulting mixture to the externally heated reformer furnace, to produce a high-temperature reformed gas; mixing the second branch stream gas with said high-temperature reformed gas and during the course to the reduction furnace, subjecting the mixture to endothermic reforming reactions in an after-reactor without external heating, utilizing the sensible heat of the high-temperature mixed gas, controlling the self-reforming reactions so as to lower the temperature and simultaneously adjust the composition of the high-temperature mixed gas, and blowing the reducing gas obtained into the reduction furnace. Effective use of the sensible heat can be achieved.

摘要： A system realize power saving of a portable information processing unit including an external device, when the external unit receiving the power supplied from the portable information processing unit is connected to the portable information processing unit. An operation mode according to the power supply state of the external unit is set into the portable information processing unit, and the external device is informed of the set operation mode, according to the power supply state. When data processing is in execution also in the external device upon request from the portable information processing unit, even when the operation mode change information is received, the mode change is awaited until the completion of the processing of the external device. Thus, by changing the operation mode, low-power consumption operation including the external device can be realized without impeding the operation in the external device.
