    • A screen apparatus includes a tank, a first cylidrical screen disposed inside the tank to form a first chamber, and a second cylidrical screen disposed outside the first cylindrical screen. The second cylindrical screen defines a second′ chamber facing the first cylindrical screen and having upper and lower portions communicating with an inlet portion, and second″ chamber. A connection member has a groove facing the second′ chamber at an intermediate portion of the second cylindrical screen, and a passage communicating with the groove for discharging a paper stock. The paper stock flows to the second′ chamber through the upper and lower portions. A part of the paper stock passing through the first and second cylindrical screens is discharged through first and second selection outlet portions, and a part of the paper stock not passing throught the first and second cylindrical screens is discharged through the passage.

    • A screen apparatus of the invention is provided with a tank for receiving a papermaking material; a screen situated inside the tank for dividing the tank into a first chamber and a second chamber to separate a foreign substance from the papermaking material; a first supply passage for supplying the papermaking material into the tank; a second supply passage for supplying the papermaking material into the tank; a stirring member disposed between an inner wall of the tank and the screen to stir the papermaking material introduced in the first chamber; a screened papermaking material discharge passage communicating with the second chamber for discharging a screened papermaking material outside the tank; and a foreign substance discharge passage communicating with the first chamber for discharging a foreign substance outside the tank. The first supply passage includes a first supply inlet located at an upper side of the tank, and the second supply passage includes a second supply inlet located lower than the first supply inlet. The papermaking material can be effectively separated by the screen.

    • A pulp heating apparatus has a heater main body 1 which has a pulp introduction port for introducing pulp, a vapor introduction port for introducing vapor, a disperser for dispersing the pulp introduced via the pulp introduction port under a high temperature and a pulp exhaust port for exhausting the pulp dispersed by the disperser and is arranged in a horizontal direction. The disperser has a spiral vane section which continues spirally around a rotational shaft and discontinuous vane sections around the rotational shaft. The pulp introduction port is provided at a bottom section of the heater main body and is connected to an introduction passage. A screw conveyor is provided on the introduction passage. A forward end of the introduction passage faces towards the spiral vane section.

    • A screen apparatus is formed of a tank for receiving a papermaking material, a cylindrical first screen for partitioning the tank into a first chamber and a second chamber, an annular second screen disposed in the first chamber, and a rotating member disposed in the first chamber. The first screen has a closed end at one side, an open end at the other side, and a plurality of first openings in a circumferential portion thereof. The annular second screen has second openings in a plate portion and a large opening at the center thereof. The annular second screen is disposed adjacent to the first screen at the side of the closed end, and the rotating member faces the large opening of the second screen and the closed end of the first screen. Also, the rotating member includes first agitating members facing the second screen, and second agitating members facing the second screen. When the papermaking material is supplied to the first chamber, foreign materials contained in the papermaking material are removed by the first and second screens, and refined papermaking material is discharged through the second chamber. Clinging and crushing of the foreign materials can be prevented.
