摘要： An apparatus for driving drain pipes and other elongated objects has a supporting frame and a hammer mounted on this frame for pendulum movement relative thereto and having a head adapted to impact a trailing end of an object to be driven. A drive imparts the pendulum movement to the hammer and includes a pivot shaft that is turnably mounted on the frame, a drum that is freely turnably mounted on the pivot shaft surrounding the same, an elongated flexible cable or the like having one end fixed to the drum and another end fixed to the hammer, a first clutch section mounted on the drum for rotation with the same and a second clutch section mounted on the shaft for rotation with the same but with freedom of axial movement relative to the shaft. One or more motors rotate the shaft, and a control intermittently moves the second clutch section into motion-transmitting engagement with the first clutch section so that the drum rotates with the shaft for the duration of this engagement.

摘要： An electrically conductive strip-shaped metallic member or wire is wound into a coiled ground main body having an engaging member fixed to the outer end thereof so that the axis of the engaging member may be aligned with the direction in which the coiled main body is uncoiled. The engaging member is engaged with a ground driving rod so that when the driving rod is driven into the soil, the coiled ground main body is gradually uncoiled and driven straightly into the soil to a desired depth. Thereafter, the driving rod is pulled out of the soil, but the ground main body remains extended straight in intimate contact with the surrounding earth. The coiled ground may be fabricated in a simple manner; the ground driving operation is much facilitated; and the intimate contact of the driven ground with the surrounding earth may be ensured.

摘要： A ground anchor comprises a resistance plate consisting of some bendable sections driven slantly to a direction from a predetermined depth by the coaction of driving force and soil resistance applied thereto during driving operation so that they are set in such a manner that their maximum effective resisting surfaces may be easily directed at a right angle with the direction of the tension force imparted thereto. These bendable sections are kept straight by means of a regulating rod so as to be driven straightly inward until they reach the predetermined setting depth, and start bending at the predetermined depth, when the control of the regulating rod is released from outside at any time, so as to be inclined and driven inward to any required direction.

摘要： A water-duct pipe for preventing landslides: a water-duct pipe having a head at one end and a number of water inlet holes along the whole length is driven into the ground, and employed with a set of additional pipes connected consecutively and larger in bore than the water-duct pipe and a set of driving bars having a suitable diameter to fit to the water-duct pipe and connected consecutively, so that the water-duct pipe may be settled in the underground water layer while protecting it from clogging with earth. Although all the water inlet holes are closed by the driving bar inserted into the water-duct pipe during the driving operation, they may be opened, as required, by drawing the driving bar out of the water-duct pipe to permit underground water, if any, to flow.

摘要： A drain pipe is disclosed which comprises a drain pipe section provided with a plurality of weep holes or slots and a shielding pipe section slidably fitted over the drain pipe section and adapted to remain in such a position with respect to the drain pipe section as to completely shield the weep holes or slots thereof when driven into the ground. After the drain pipe section has been driven into a predetermined depth, the shielding pipe section is further driven into the ground while the drain pipe section remains stationary, so that the weep holes or slots are exposed to a cylinderical cavity left therearound by the shielding pipe section.
