The touch pads form part of the touch input section for selecting and inputting the items and selections displayed on the image monitor, part the touch input section for operating the display contents of an image displayed on the image monitor, and part of the touch input section for controlling the shooting magnification used in shooting an image. Such input operations are performed by way of a contact position signal of the touch pads as well as a movement in the touch state.

摘要： Image data obtained through an image sensor is written in a memory. When printing an image, a printing head is driven in accordance with the image data read out from the memory in a line sequential fashion, and is synchronously moved in a sub scan direction, thereby exposing the instant film line by line. The image appears on the exposed instant film as a developing solution is developed by developing rollers while the instant film is advanced out through the developing rollers. Alternatively, the printing head is driven synchronously with the instant film being advanced. Thereby an image is printed at one sub scanning without the need for moving the printing head. The printing head is provided with an array of three color light emitting elements, and three color light beams are simultaneously projected onto the instant film. The electronic still camera is automatically set in an imaging mode when a power switch is turned on, and is switched to a display mode or a print mode as soon as a display mode key or a print mode key is operated. After being switched to the display mode, the electronic still camera is quickly switched to the imaging mode if only a shutter release button is operated.

摘要： It is so arranged that the user of a device such as a digital still camera can ascertain the transfer history of an image file that has been transferred to the camera. An image file is obtained by “Mr. A” shooting a subject using a digital still camera, whereupon information concerning the owner of the camera is read and “Mr. A” is written to a photographer/transferor history table as the photographer of the image file. The table is placed in the header recording area of the image file. If the image file is transferred to a “Miss B”, the table is read out of the image file and “Miss B” is written to the table as the transferor of the image file. The table thus updated is placed in the header recording area of the image file. One can determine the photographer and transferor of the image file by referring to the table.

摘要： An imaging apparatus comprises: a shooting requesting unit which receives an input indicating that shooting request to a person is made; and a shooting request mode setting unit which sets an angle of view of the image data displayed by the display unit to a predetermined range smaller than an angle of view captured by the imaging unit in response to the input to the shooting requesting unit. The display unit displays a post-view image which is an image data decoded from compressed coded image data in the recording unit within a range of the displayed angle of view set by the shooting request mode setting unit. Thus, the image actually recorded and displayed in the reproducing mode includes larger region of the post-view image. Therefore, the cutoff of heads and legs, etc. of an object at a peripheral region of the image can be compensated.
