摘要： A cradle for a digital camera. When a digital camera is set in a retainer of the cradle, side portions of a wall formed at the retainer are disposed to shield a charging terminal and a USB terminal formed at a lower portion of a side surface of a casing of the digital camera. Thus, a charging cord and a USB cord cannot be connected directly to the charging terminal and the USB terminal when the digital camera has been set in the digital camera cradle. That is, when the digital camera is set in the cradle, it is possible to prevent redundant connection of connecting cords to any ones of a plurality of connecting terminals formed in the digital camera that are of kinds the same as other connecting terminals of the digital camera, which others are connected to connecting terminals provided at the cradle.

摘要： A digital camera has two imaging units for capturing a pair of parallax images of an identical subject from different viewpoints for use in displaying a stereoscopic image. Parallax amounts between respective corresponding points of these parallax images are detected to calculate a cumulative frequency of the parallax amounts. Based on the cumulative frequency, adequacy of these parallax images for stereoscopic display is evaluated, and these images are recorded in association with information on the evaluated adequacy. Before displaying a stereoscopic image using the parallax images, a digital photo frame refers to the information on the stereoscopic adequacy of these images, and changes its output condition depending on the stereoscopic adequacy.

An objective lens is placed in the optical path of a viewfinder and is movable perpendicular to the optical axis of the viewfinder in cooperation with the focusing mechanism of the associated camera. A movable lens is also placed in the optical path of the viewfinder and is movable along the optical axis of the viewfinder in cooperation with the zoom adjustment of a zoom lens associated with the camera. The movement of the objective lens corrects for any parallax error between the viewfinder and an image seen by the zoom lens of the camera. The movement of the movable lens insures that the field angle of the viewfinder will correspond to that of the zoom lens.

摘要： A waterproof case for a camera comprises a case body, which contains the camera, and a lid, which is hinged to the case body and closes an opening of the case body watertightly. The hinge connecting the lid to the case body is provided with a friction member that holds the lid stationary at an arbitrary opening angle or at a predetermined opening angle regardless of the weight of the lid. The waterproof case is provided with a camera attachment member and a coil spring for moving the camera contained in the case body to a predetermined position as the lid opens. It is therefore possible to easily exchange recording mediums, and replace and charge a battery in the camera without taking the camera out completely from the case body.
