    • A coin dispensing apparatus is provided which can detect a dispensed coin without lowering a dispensation speed of coins, even dispensed small-diameter coins without lowering a dispensation speed without damaging a coin detecting device. The coin dispensing apparatus has a throwing-out device and a noncontact type detecting device. A rebound member is provided against which the coin thrown out by the throwing-out device strikes, to rebound in a predetermined direction. The noncontact type coin detecting device continuously detects a coin before the coin strikes against the rebound member and after the coin rebounds.

    • In an impact type clamping apparatus including a motor unit for generating a pulsatory driving torque, a main spindle driven by said pulsatory driving torque to rotate a fastening member, a detecting unit for detecting a pulsatory torque applied to the main spindle, a calculating circuit for calculating a clamping force in accordance with a peak value of the pulsatory torque, and a control unit for stopping the operation of said motor unit when the calculated clamping force exceeds a desired clamping force, said clamping force is calculated not only from the peak value of the pulsatory torque but also from an increasing coefficient which represents a relationship between the peak value of the pulsatory torque and an increment of the clamping force. The increasing coefficient is gradually decreased in accordance with the increase in the clamping force, so that the clamping force can be calculated very accurately and the fastening member can be clamped with an actual clamping force which is very close to the desired clamping force.

    • One embodiment of the invention includes a preamplifier system for a magnetic disk-drive. The system includes a current distributor configured to generate a reference current and to decay the reference current from a first magnitude to a second magnitude during a degauss period to degauss a magnetic disk write head. The degauss period defines a transition from a write cycle to a read cycle of the magnetic disk-drive and has a predetermined time duration that is independent of the first magnitude of the reference current during the write cycle. An output driver is configured to provide a write current to the magnetic disk write head having a magnitude with an absolute value that is based on the reference current.
